Protest The Hero Premiere New Single “Mouthpiece”

Canadian prog metal veterans Protest The Hero have announced their long-awaited new album, “Within”, which is set for release on July 17th. The eight-track record serves as the band's first full-length effort since 2020’s “Palimpsest” and was co-produced by Derya Nagle (Good Tiger), Milen Petzlet-Sorace, and Protest The Hero’s Cameron McLellan. Mixing duties were handled by Adam “Nolly” Getgood, known for his work with Periphery.

After teasing new material throughout the week on social media, the band have now premiered the album’s opening track, “Mouthpiece”, alongside a music video directed by Troy Maher.

Periphery have offered another glimpse into their upcoming eighth studio album, “A Pale White Dot,” with the release of a music video for “Everyone Dies Alone.” The clip—directed once again by Caleb Young, who also handled “Mr. God”—marks the second single from the record.

Boundaries Sign With Sumerian Records

“Skies Cast Amber Black” marks the beginning of a new chapter for Boundaries as a recently signed Sumerian Records artist. The band had previously released music through 3DOT Recordings, a label founded by Periphery, who are also alumni of Sumerian Records.

Boundaries collaborated with producer Drew Fulk (known for his work with Knocked Loose and Disturbed) on this newly released track, which is accompanied by a brand-new music video, going live at 12 pm (EDT).

Brutal Assault Add Dozens Of Bands To 2026 Lineup

Brutal Assault added over 30 bands to next year's line-up. From djent masters Fit For An Autopsy and deathcore crushers Periphery or Katatonia through dark electronic invasion led by Perturbator KMFDM and Cradle of Filth to absolute legends Thy Art Is Murder and Od.

Metalcore project Showing Teeth have dropped their debut single, “Labyrinth.” The track features an extra dose of firepower thanks to Matt Halpern of Periphery, who handled all studio drumming for the song. While Spiritbox may not have secured their first GRAMMY Award this past weekend, vocalist Courtney LaPlante certainly made waves on the red carpet. Riding that viral momentum, the band has now premiered a new music video for their track "No Loss, No Love." Spiritbox Premiere New Single & Music Video

Canadian alternative metal band Spiritbox has announced their sophomore album, Tsunami Sea, set to be released on March 7th. The group has also dropped their latest single, "Perfect Soul," now streaming via Spotify below. This track follows September’s single, "Soft Spine."

Tsunami Sea was co-produced by Spiritbox guitarist Mike Stringer and Dan Braunstein (Silent Planet, Dayseeker), the same duo behind their debut album Eternal Blue and their 2023 EP The Fear Of Fear. Mixing for the new record was handled by Zakk Cervini (Bring Me The Horizon, Architects), who also mixed The Fear Of Fear.

Periphery Announces 2024 European Tour Dates

Periphery, who recently announced their first US headlining tour in support of "Periphery V: Djent Is Not A Genre," have expanded their limited live outings to Europe, performing their first shows on the continent since 2019 in what is dubbed "The Wildfire European Tour."

"This will be our first tour of Europe in about 4 ½ years," says Jake Bowen. "Now that Periphery V is out, I know we’re all excited to visit some of our favorite places and play songs off the new record. We’re looking at really great options for support and will announce those bands very soon. These shows are gonna be nuts, see you there!"

Tickets for the newly announced dates are on-sale this Friday, August 4, at 10 AM, local time. A limited number of tickets remain for the upcoming US trek with several shows already sold out. Ticket links for all shows can be found here.
