Stray From The Path Premiere New Single & Music Video “Kubrick Stare” - Sign With SharpTone Records

Stray From The Path have officially joined forces with SharpTone Records, marking the occasion with the release of their new single, Kubrick Stare. This track serves as the rap metalcore band’s first new material since 2022.

The song was recorded with GRAMMY Award-winning producer Will Putney (Knocked Loose, Body Count), while the accompanying music video was directed by the band’s own bassist, Anthony Altamura.

Speaking on the creative process and lyrical inspiration, guitarist Tim Williams shared:

“It felt like we were capturing lightning in a bottle. We built the song around those scary chords. Every day, people on the Internet see the craziest things they’ve ever seen in their lives. Sometimes, it’s hard to feel seriously about these atrocities because we see them all day. You’re so numb to it that you’re just staring blankly.

It’s unfortunately become normal, and it’s driving us crazy. Hence, the ‘Kubrick Stare’ reference — which was a tactic Stanley Kubrick used to show a character losing his mind. We’re locked into our phones, and we probably look like Jack looking out of the window in ‘The Shining.’

Stray From The Path entered the studio in March of last year to record their next full-length album, so fans can anticipate a new release in the coming months. In the meantime, you can catch them live at the following shows this month:
