Once Human Posts Teaser For New Album Online
Once Human, the band featuring former Machine Head/Soulfly guitarist Logan Mader, has released a new teaser trailer online for their upcoming new album, "Scar Weaver." You can check it out below.
Pieced together over the last two years, Scar Weaver represents a massive step forward for the band. Blessed (or perhaps cursed) with plenty of additional time during last year’s lockdown situation, the band have been able to refine and redefine their sound, inspired by a sudden creative surge from latest recruit Max Karon. The result is an gloriously idiosyncratic modern metal record, with Lauren Hart’s career-best vocal performance just one of its dazzling revelations. With Once Human’s most intense and explosive music to work with, the singer has pushed herself to new heights, showcasing a vastly expanded vocal range in the process.
As its title suggests, "Scar Weaver" is an album that brims and bulges with notions of pain, trauma and darkness. Lauren has once again penned a stunning collection of emotionally raw diatribes, but in contrast to Evolution’s overriding concept, the new record takes a more scattershot approach, reflecting the chaos of the modern world along the way. From visceral opener "Eidolon" to the corrosive claustrophobia of the closing "Only In Death", all human life is alive and screaming on Scar Weaver. More...

Xandria is touring in support of latest release and seventh studio album overall "Theater of Dimensions" (check out our review here). The album is a hyper-emotional affair that digs deep, lyrically speaking, while remaining an incredibly metallic effort.
Kobra and the Lotus is set to release new album and Napalm Records debut "Prevail I" this Friday, full of blistering guitars, pounding rhythms, and haunting vocal melodies that take the listener on a sonic journey.
Kobra Paige comments: "It's been a long time coming for Kobra and the Lotus to release new music and what could be better than to do it on this power packed tour coming up. We are super pumped to be hitting the road with the mighty Xandria and Once Human! It's sure to be a show that has something for everyone and charges people up from start to finish. Once Human Posts "Dark Matter" Video
Once Human just debuted a new music video for the scathing track "Dark Matter." Check it out below. Once Human's sophomore release, "Evolution," is set for a February 17th release via Ear Music.
Lauren Hart (vocals) states: “This vicious new track, 'Dark Matter,' is about the dark energy in the world that affects us at our core. You can hold on to it and let it destroy you or you can let it flow through you and grow above it. It is there to strengthen you; letting it destroy you is a choice."
Logan Mader (guitars) further adds: "We worked with director Brian Cox (Gemini Syndrome) for this video. We gave him complete creative control over the imagery and he did not disappoint. He read the lyrics and was inspired. We are really happy wirh how it came out and hope you enjoy it."
Armed with this track and the eight others comprising "Evolution," Once Human intends to build on the groundwork laid down by two tours in support of the group's previous debut, and make it damn clear that this is a band to be taken seriously.
“It’s only been a little more than a year since we put out our first record, but we were so driven by the new sound that we forged that we needed to get back into the studio and capture it,” Mader states. “It was also important to prove to people that this is a real band. It’s not just a project I felt like doing on a whim, this is a band that’s going to have a full career, and now we’re really getting started.” More...
Once Human Releases "Gravity" Video
Once Human just released an eye-popping official music video for the scathing new track, “Gravity.” The band's sophomore album, "Evolution," is slated for a February 10th release world-wide through Ear Music and official pre-order bundle packages are also now live here.
Logan Mader states: "We shot this new video once again with director Ron Thunderwood, because he gives us a lot of freedom to be ourselves. He is mostly a one man army, so the convenience aspect is awesome. We love his passion and wanted people to see his versatility and skill outside of a controlled room. We worked with all natural light so we had a small window of time.
"The wind was so strong that we almost lost the drone and Ron had to chase it. We were not expecting the wind and the dust, but we went with it anyway and in the end it really seemed to fit with the lyrics. The lyrics and the vibe of the video are nearly the same: constantly cloudy, unexpected, messy, racing complexities of the mind, and only a moment of clarity.
“This new video also officially marks the debut of Max Karon on guitars. He's an amazing guitarist and played a big role in the creative process with Lauren and I on our new album, 'Evolution.' We are releasing this song as the 2nd single because it shows the more progressive elements within our album, has meaningful lyrics and displays Lauren's diversity as a vocalist." More...
