Thy Art Is Murder Fire Frontman CJ McMahon

Australian deathcore band Thy Art Is Murder have announced the departure of their vocalist, CJ McMahon, due to controversial comments he made on social media. In response to these comments and McMahon's threat to sabotage the band if they didn't support his opinions, the band has decided to release their new album "Godlike" without his vocals.

They've brought in a mystery vocalist who re-recorded the vocal tracks for the album, resulting in a digital release of the record. The decision to part ways with McMahon came after his comments were deemed transphobic and exacerbated an already strained situation.

Saltwound Premiere New Single & Music Video

Saltwound have just inked a deal with Good Fight Music. This Northern Californian deathcore band have just released a three-song EP titled "In The Shadow Of The Valley Of Death", as their debut under this new label. The EP was produced, mixed, and mastered by Josh Bearden. They've also released a video for the lead single, "Shadows Remain," streaming via YouTube and Spotify for you now below.

Obscura Premiere New Live Video

Progressive technical death metal outfit Obscura have released a live video for their song "Emergent Evolution." This performance is part of their upcoming live album, "A Celebration I – Live in North America," recorded during their 2022-2023 tour. The footage for this particular performance was filmed during a concert in Mexico. “A Celebration I – Live in North America” will be released on October 27th via Nuclear Blast.

Cannibal Corpse Premiere New Music Video

"Chaos Horrific" marks the sixteenth studio album from Florida's death metal legends, Cannibal Corpse. Once again collaborating with director David Brodsky (known for work with Whitechapel and Lorna Shore, among others, and most recently for the band's "Summoned For Sacrifice" music video), the acclaimed band has released a new visual accompaniment for the album's title track.

Drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz shared some insights, stating:

“This song is about fighting for your life from a zombie attack. An axe, a knife, a machete. Whatever it takes to kill these things.”
