Venom Inc. Announces New Album "Avé"
Regardless of your take on black metal forefathers Venom, the band is the undisputed originators of extreme metal as we know it. Almost 40 years after the inception, the revitalized 1989-1992 line-up of guitarist Jeff "Mantas" Dunn, vocalist/bassist Tony "Demolition Man" Dolan and drummer Anthony "Abaddon" Bray have returned with a monster of an album.
After months of anticipation, Venom Inc. will release the upcoming full-length opus, entitled "Avé," on August 11th via Nuclear Blast. Pre-orders for the new album are available now at this location. The first video/single "Dein Fleisch" can be streamed in the player below.
Venom Inc. was born during an impromptu live set at 2015's Keep it True Festival in Lauda-Königshofen, Germany. The on-stage reunion was a rousing success amongst Venom fans and music industry personnel alike, and although it was originally only set up for fun, Dolan began receiving numerous show offers for Venom Inc. from booking agents around the world. What started as a live set to celebrate Venom's legacy immediately turned into a serious reunion discussion. The rest is history.
While unexpected at the outset, the end result of this reunion is an album that true Venom fans will gladly add to the top of their playlists. Vocalist/bassist Tony "Demolition Man" Dolan says, "We tried to shape 'Avé' so that it comes at you dark, then it gets bright and heavy and just keeps growing into some kind of monster."
The track listing for the album is:
1. Ave Satanas
2. Forged In Hell
3. Metal We Bleed
4. Dein Fleisch

Orden Ogan Releases "Fields Of Sorrow" Lyric Video
German power metal act Orden Ogan issued a lyric video for the new single "Fields of Sorrow." The song is the second released from the upcoming new wild west themed album “Gunmen,” which drops on July 7th via AFM Records.
Band leader Sebastian Seeb Levermann commented: "'Fields of Sorrow' is a special song for us in many ways: besides the (virtual) title track 'Gunman,' it is the only song in Orden Ogan’s history which I wrote together with our guitarist Tobi. Also, 'Fields Of Sorrow' is quite likely the most melancholic song we’ve ever recorded. Lyrically, we enter a kind of 'Dark Fantasy/Wild West/Civil War' world, telling the story of a man who loses the love of his life on the battlefield and has to bury her right there – while the Civil War is still raging on. The lyrics show his dark, heartbreaking thoughts in these minutes, a sad but realistic picture of human existence. With its epic-melancholic chorus, modern grooves, heavy riffs and orchestral arrangements, 'Fields Of Sorrow' features all of Orden Ogan’s trademarks."
The track listing for "Gunmen" is:
1. Gunman (see video clip here)
2. Fields Of Sorrow
3. Forlorn And Forsaken
4. Vampire In Ghost Town

Alpha Tiger Announces New Self-Titled Album
An old rule says that musicians usually write their best material when they leave all commercial considerations; market analyses and the public's supposed expectations aside and simply follow their innermost artistic instinct. Which is precisely how Alpha Tiger from Freiberg in Saxony went about writing and recording the most recent oeuvre, and the result is an offering that's as impressive as it is surprising: the latest, self-titled release sounds rock-oriented and melodic, anthemic and diverse, and - thanks to its completely analogue production - wonderfully organic. "This is the album that I've always wanted to make," explains Peter Langforth, the band's guitarist and songwriter. "It's definitely our most mature and grown-up release to date."
Mind you, the omens didn't seem to bide all that well, seeing that Alpha Tiger had to come to terms with the departure of their previous vocalist immediately after the completion of the 2015 album "iDentity." Luckily the short, intense search via social media produced the solution to the problem, a kind of singing savior named Benjamin Jaino. More...
