GRAMMY-winning sludge metal band Mastodon have released a brand new single titled “Your Ghost Again,” marking the first new music from the group following the departure of longtime guitarist/vocalist Brent Hinds. The split between Hinds and the band occurred in early 2025, making the arrival of the new track a significant turning point in the band's history.

The track also features writing and performance contributions from Mastodon’s newer members, guitarist Nick Johnston and keyboardist João Nogueira.

UPDATE: Mastodon have followed yesterday's reveal of their new single “Your Ghost Again” with the announcement of dates for their ‘The Poisonous Weapons Tour‘. The North American headlining run is set to kick off in mid-September, with blackgazers Deafheaven appearing as direct support and post-black metal act Alcest opening each night.
