Germany’s Defeated Sanity returns to the fold with new full-length experimental release “Disposal Of The Dead/Dharmata.” Defying convention, the album is comprised of two separate EPs, and is essentially a split release with itself.
"Disposal Of The Dead" is Defeated Sanity in the band's most primal form. A caveman-esque display of audio barbarity, that is stripped down, raw, and unrelenting. "Dharmata" is an homage to old school progressive death metal, recruiting vocalist Max Phelps (Exist, Cynic, Death To All), and venturing into more avant-garde territory.
Bass player Jacob Schmidt comments: "With this new release, we present Defeated Sanity in an unusual, unexpected way. See it as a concept... an irregularity in our discography. Enjoy listening to us playing outside of our known style!” More...

"The following bands are completing the line-up of Mountains of Death 2011: Incinerate (US), Modus Delicti (IT), To Violently Vomit (US), and Putrid Pile (US).
"All those who are giving themselves the trouble to check out the links on the billing list might wonder about the myspace address of To Violently Vomit... behind this name stands nobody less than the singular, legendary and since 1992 acitve Disgorge from San Diego... or at least the greater part of them! All the rest about disturbances and stories about the band you can read at another place and would go beyond the scope of this note.
"Almost unavoidable, there are some line-up changes. The following bands are not able to play: Ancient Necropsy (CO) and Ingurgitating Oblivion (DE)"

"Back from our second US Tour. It was packed with cool people, great audiences, some mad experiences and overall good times. We want to thank the following people that helped us in the US:
"Blue - for all the work you put in setting up the tour for us. You did a great job and we also can't thank you enough for sharing your backline with us.
"Sexcrement guys - it was a great time being on tour again with our brothers. You're such a bunch of cool dudes! Wish you all the best!
"Colin Marston - HUGE thanks for giving us a place to sleep, to rehearse, sharing your gear with us, recording our rehearsal and helping with everything. You're one of our best friends in the USA, this wouldn't have been possible without your help!
"Vanessa - for the hospitality and setting up the show in NY. It was a fun night and the venue was a good choice.
"Sean Murphy - for driving our asses around in the states. You did a great job and it was cool hanging out with you again! see you in europe brother! More...

Defeated Sanity has checked in with the following update about recruiting a new vocalist and lining up new tour dates:
"We will play a small US tour around Maryland Deathfest in May 2011. Expect these shows to be the final ones with AJ Magana on vocals. The dates will be released soon. We enjoyed working with AJ as he is an awesome musician who inspired us with his voice but also a great person in general. Though, everyone of us knows this collaboration is tough to be kept alive over the distance we're living away from each other, making this decision inevitable.
"So props to AJ for his contribution to Defeated Sanity. We wish him all the best for the future in both his musical and personal activities! Thank you brother! As many of you expected our new permanent singer will be Konstantin Lühring from (ex-)Despondency. During the shows he helped out as a session vocalist, he proved himself as the best choice to replace AJ in Defeated Sanity. We want to welcome him as a permanent member and can't wait to unleash the new tunes we are already jamming with him!
"In collaboration with Grindethic Records we will re-release our largely unobtainable first album 'Prelude To The Tragedy.' This release will feature two bonus tracks: A newly recorded version of Expectoration of Fear and a cover song which we will unveiled at a later point. Both tracks will have Konstantin Lühring on vocals. The release will happen in early 2011 with the exact date to be announced later on."
