Space Of Variations about "Parallel Realities":
"‘Parallel Realities’ was meant to be the first single from Poisoned Art, yet it became the last one before the album’s release. Space Of Variations Delays New Album Release Date

Due to the ongoing war in their homeland of Ukraine, metalcore unit Space Of Variations have made the difficult decision to delay the release of their upcoming album, "Imago," to May 20, 2022. Ukrainian Musicians React To Russian Invasion

As you will no doubt be aware by now, the Russian army entered Ukraine at 6AM Moscow time this morning. While the world watches with horror and concern as this happens, a number of metal musicians in Ukraine have posted messages online updating fans regarding their health, status and condition. Ukraine's biggest metal exports Jinjer has posted the following message:

"Dear all, as we write this text, for the moment, each member of Jinjer and our families are safe and unhurt. We truly appreciate all our fans around the globe for caring, getting in touch and for all the sympathy and support for our band and more importantly our country.

"As you all know, early this morning on February 24th, Putin started the war against the sovereign and independent Ukraine ! Please know that in this time we really depend on you, our fans in every country- to support Ukraine and peace in our country however you can- especially our fans in Russia, you and your opinion matter the most at this time.

"NOTHING can justify the violence and death of innocents, and this is exactly what's happening in our country right now.

Space Of Variations Posts New Music Video Online

Unstoppable Ukrainian metalcore unit Space Of Variations drifts off into distant universes with their second single "vein.mp3," taken from their upcoming full-length, "Imago" (out March 18 via Napalm Records). Like a bestial alien, "vein.mp3" goes wild with shattering drums, thudding bass, heavily distorted guitars and evil screams. Following first single "Someone Else," "vein.mp3" provides another varied taste of what’s to come on "Imago," and the band’s live attack, as witnessed during their previous performances with modern metal giants Jinjer across Europe. Beware of this musical demon named Space Of Variations!

Space Of Variations Singer Dima on “vein.mp3”:
"We are a by-product of our systems and concepts. Slaves of micro worlds. Fragile eyewitnesses of our own strength and weakness. We find each other and lose ourselves in someone, watching how beautiful becomes disgusting. From the dense darkness we reach for the light. This is how we feel about this song. This is probably what you feel sometimes." More...

Space Of Variations Reveals New Album Details

Unstoppable Ukrainian ultra-modern metalcore unit Space Of Variations have made a name for themselves in the international scene, but now take it to the absolute next level with their upcoming in-your-face full-length, "Imago," officially set for release on March 18, 2022 via Napalm Records.

"Imago" seamlessly mixes gut-punching hardcore riffs and catastrophic breakdowns with colorful electronics, brutalizing vocals and, at times, trance-like synth – exploring elements of djent, hip-hop and even hyperpop influence along the way. The album’s addictively erratic, emotive atmosphere echoes their spontaneous live performance; having previously toured with modern metal giants Jinjer, the four-piece relentlessly smashed European stages while captivating each listener with futuristic stylings reverberating the likes of Bring Me The Horizon, Architects, Norma Jean and LANDMVRKS.

Today, the band steps up their game with hard-hitting first single "Someone Else" –
loaded with aggressive screams, charging transitions and synth elements that leave no room for rest, the track delivers a promising glimpse of what fans can expect from the new album. Keep an eye on this futuristic metal monster!

Space Of Variations on "Someone Else":
“The ‘Someone Else’ video is a metaphor. It talks about individualism, talks about the originality of every one of us as human creations. Talks about how we all involved to social life. And how sometimes it feels like a pain. To play a role, and not being your real self is suffering. This video shows how a faceless crowd tries to destroy the individuality of a main character, tries to kill him, and tries to make him looks the same as they are.

"In this song, the character goes through stages of acceptance, realizing the facets of all the beautiful and terrible he has inside. Paradoxically, an internal puzzle becomes complete only through disassembling oneself. Acceptance of reality, no matter how good or bad it is, is sobering. This is IMAGO.

"Just keep your inner fire burning hot." More...

Space Of Variations Uploads New Animated Video

With their latest EP "XXXXX," released via Napalm Records earlier this year, modern metal sensation Space Of Variations have proven that they are no longer an underground band and won’t fly under the radar. Today, the Ukrainian powerhouse takes it one step further and showcases their new animated work for the "XXXXX" EP track "Room 57."

With their newest offering, Space Of Variations underlines the pure passion for their sonically-palpable creativity and artful audio-visuals. Filming and directing most of their own videos wasn’t enough – the cartoon-inspired music video is made from more than three thousand images hand-painted by guitarist/vocalist Alex, with post-production by drummer Tima, himself. "Room 57" offers an artistic place of expression for the characters of their own universe.

Space Of Variations on "Room 57":
“During these hard times when it seems the whole world is going crazy, we as a band have found ourselves in not the best position. Tours and festivals got canceled. We could not even shoot a video without violating quarantine. Then we remembered the old idea of creating a hand-drawn animation. We started looking for someone to bring our ideas to life. Yet, it did not take long to realize that we were the ones to do it best. Our guitarist/vocalist Alex took on the whole animation part, while our drummer Tima was all about post-production. The truth was born in meetings and discussions."

The music video itself mirrors a whole enigma filled with metaphors, elaborate images and symbolism. Fall into a rabbit hole with Space Of Variations and meet them behind closed doors. More...

Jinjer And The Agonist Storm The Thekla

There's been no shortage of awesome tours this year. We've seen thrash legends combine forces, bands from different sub-genres unite and pairings as black and heavy as dark matter. With all these having come and gone, it's exciting to have had one more rumble through the UK, as Jinjer and The Agonist took their European tour to this divided island to unify head bangers. Fortunately, when they came to Bristol, they took the show to the perhaps the best venue in the city, The Thekla, a boat with the grit of old school venues yet the romance of the water.

Opening the show this evening was Space Of Variations, who hail from historically fascinating Ukrainian city of Vinnytsya. Much like their countrymen and headliners Jinjer, the band is pretty hard to define, combining metal, rock, hardcore, rap and some electronic influences. The best way one could describe their sound is Madball meets The Crystal Method. Sometimes having so many different sounds can be too much for a band to pull of live, but this quartet were absolutely superb from start to finish. Frontman Dima Kozhuhar is a particular highlight, radiating with intensity throughout the set, without coming across as trying too hard. Not everyone got to the show early tonight, but those that did will know that the latecomers missed out big time. Hopefully there's big things in store for Space Of Variations. More...
