Pierce The Veil To Release New Album In February
Pierce The Veil - guitarist/vocalist Vic Fuentes, guitarist Tony Perry, and bassist Jaime Preciado - have announced their new album, The Jaws Of Life. It arrives February 10 via longtime label Fearless Records. In anticipation of the album's release, the band has shared a new music video for the track, "Emergency Contact." You can check it out below.
"There's so much desperation underlying the lyrics of this song," shares Fuentes. "It talks about a relationship where one person is ready to take things to the next level while the other is still unsure. One person is begging the other to either move forward or to let them out because being stuck in the middle is torture."
He continues, "I wrote this song in Seattle at Mike Herrera from MXPX's home studio. He let me live there for a couple of months while working on the record. I love writing in Seattle because it gives me all of the '90s grunge rock vibes. Plus, it rains all the time, and I love the rain."
As for The Jaws Of Life as a whole, Fuentes says, "This album has truly brought us closer than we've ever been. It was extremely difficult for us to be off the road and apart for so long. We've never missed anything more than playing music together and never had such an strong appreciation for recording, touring, and simply being in the same room together than we do now. The Jaws Of Life is about how life can sink its teeth into you and try to devour you. The negativity in the world and within your mind can be a vicious thing. We're extremely grateful for this record, our fans, and the opportunity to play live music again." More...

This past November allegations were made against Pierce The Veil drummer Mike Fuentes by two women, accusing him of attempting to conduct sexual relationships with them while they were underage. One post included screencaps of drummer Mike Fuentes allegedly pleasuring himself on a video chat as evidence. Pierce The Veil have now spoken out on those allegations with Fuentes to take a break from the band for the time being. The below statement was posted on the matter:
“From the day we started this band, the four of us agreed that we not only wanted to write and play songs together for the rest of our lives, but we also wanted to build a strong community through our music and provide a safe place for ourselves and our fans to express our shared values through creativity, open-mindedness, love and respect. Over the last ten years we have accomplished that and so much more with the help of our incredible fans. The bond that we share in this community is stronger than we could have ever imagined and is truly our pride and joy.
Recently, an allegation was made about Mike from an anonymous source pertaining to events dating back nearly ten years ago. We are taking this allegation seriously and would like to share the steps we are taking in response. Below are a few words from Mike. More...
