Brutal Assault Unveils 23 Additional Bands

Legendary death metal act Carcass is set to make a triumphant return to the Fortress after a five-year hiatus. Joining them is Cytotoxin, promising an onslaught of toxic and brutal death metal. Death/goregrind force from Belgium Aborted will join the lineup alongside Sweden's Dark Tranquillity, renowned for their signature Gothenburg melodic death metal sound. From the gothic scene, the lineup will welcome industrial favorites Deathsars and the post-punk-tinged Unto Others. Finnish melodic outfit Kalmah will arrive from the dark swamps, and heavy-rock-metal band Soil will come from overseas. Cynic, known as "tech metallers," will present a special Focus set in celebration of the re-release of their iconic debut album. Additionally, acts like Master Boot Record, with their 8-bit computer sounds, and the brutally honest post-hardcore group Svalbard will offer their unique musical perspectives.
Prepare for some hardcore action as Madball makes a comeback to Brutal Assault, after six years, promising a lively moshpit. Also making their debut at BA are established bands like Cancer Bats, Show Me The Body known for their innovative musical identity, and This Is Hell, recognized for their intense and energetic live performances in the metal punk scene.

Deathstars Unveils New Lyric Video
The tension rises! The world's biggest and undeniably best outfit sitting between the realms of industrial and rock/metal, Deathstars, have released an atmospheric, fierce new track in the lead up to their eagerly awaited new album "Everything Destroys You," which will be released on May 5th via Nuclear Blast.
Following two extremely successful singles - "This Is" and "Midnight Party" - the band presents us with an amazing lyric video for the dark anthem 'Angel Of Fortune And Crime'.
Frontman Whiplasher Bernadotte comments:
"For me this song has pretty clear and present Deathstars-DNA, but with some new bloodlines in it… I mean it’s a pretty straight forward groovy jet black tune, but with a certain vocal melody in the latter part to break the pattern completely. Almost like a piece of darkness with some hope to it, but without the hope of course, haha." More...

Deathstars Cancels European Tour Dates
Swedish industrial cult act Deathstars have announced with great regret, that they have to cancel their European dates, which were scheduled for January-March 2023.
You can read the band's statement here:
"Due to conflicting schedules we are forced to cancel the European tour dates in Jan-March 2023. This is due to a delayed album release, caused by earlier delays in the album production. The tour was originally booked for 2020, but due to the pandemic it was postponed time after time again. We’re now finally approaching the start of the next chapter, but the old unfortunately does not quite fit with the new. We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience this causes. All tickets will be refunded.
"We will return to the European continent as soon as we have the new album out and can present you with the very best Deathstars show. In the end this was a decision made because we want to give you our best and at the moment that is not possible. We have all waited this long, and it’s no time for compromise. You only deserve the very best. Please bear with us. We will be back shortly with more news. We love you all!"
Deathstars Reschedules European Tour Dates
Due to the current world situation with Covid-19, the Swedish death glam sensation Deathstars have had to postpone their European tour dates to 2022.
Singer Whiplasher Bernadotte states: "Since the pandemic obviously still makes it impossible for bands to perform in the flesh, the tour will be postponed yet another round. We aim to hit the stages all over the planet, starting with Europe in spring 2022."
The band are currently working on their next studio album, and will hit our stages with fresh material and brand new tunes next year. All tickets purchased will be valid for the new dates and venues.

Deathstars Announces European Tour
Swedish death-glam quintet Deathstars has just announced an extended tour throughout Europe for March and April, 2014.
The band's new studio album is also set for release in February 2014 via Nuclear Blast Records, which follows 2009’s "Night Electric Night." The recordings will take place in Studio Bohus with Roberto Laghi who will co-produce the album together with Nightmare Industries.
Comments lead vocalist Whiplasher Bernadotte on the forthcoming full-length: "Deathstars is an adventure for us. It’s as if it is a phenomenon of it’s own, and our forum for destruction, glitter and darkness. We are very excited about the new material and every time we hit the studio we never know what the outcome will be, I mean we have a general idea but we’re never a 100% sure how the final result will be until we’re done and can sit back and listen to it." Deathstars To Record New Album
After the "Made in Germany" tour 2011/2012 together with Rammsteain, Swedish act Deathstars began writing new material for an upcoming album.
In May 2013, Deathstars will do a shorter tour in Australia, headline the MainStage at Blackfield Festival, Germany in June and then go back to Sweden to get mobilized for the recordings that are scheduled to start in July.
The album, which is yet untitled, marks the band's fourth full-length release. The recordings will take place in Studio Bohus, Sweden in July and August together with producer & technician Roberto Laghi, who will co-produce the album with Nightmare Industries.
"It's a ride through the most extreme nightclubs in hell, It's got more edge, it's got a rougher side, and it's less sugar coated than our last full length album with darker more twisted melodies. It's got a devilish attitude with a stiff upper lip yet beautiful in a dark deceiving way," says Nightmare Industries. More...
