Ynwgie Malmsteen

Since the departure of Jorn Lande and John Macaluso, vocalist and drummer respecitively, the rest of the US tour has been cancelled. Yngwie and Co. are regrouping and preparing for tours of Europe and Japan.

Replacements have not been decided upon, although Yngwie has been talking to vocalist Jeff Scott Soto, who has obligations with Talisman that would prevent him from participating in the entire European tour. Mark Boals and Doogie White have also been considered for the vocal slot.

Annihilator drummer Ray Hartmann made an amicable split with the band due to personal reasons and family obligations. His position is currently being held down by former Annihilator drummer Randy Black.

Shadows Fall seeking new Drummer?

Rumors abound that the Shadows Fall band has parted ways with their drummer David Germain. Metal Update says that vocalist Brian Fair confirms that the drummer's performance at the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival was agreed to have been unsatisfactory by all parties, but a decision to replace him has not been made.

The band is currently focused on writing for their new album.
