Agreed; in fact, i would go out on a big limb to say that 13 was the worst album (yes, even worse than risk, the world needs a hero, et al). The album had so many fillers in it and resissues of older songs that to be honest, i can view the album as a semi-compilation

Mega-Dave should just do a spoken word album with the band playing at half-volume to his voice so he can cram all of his conspiracy tirades onto one disk.... It's been a few years since 'United Abominations', he may need a double album...
If he's going to attack villainy in the world, he should be more accurate/concise, otherwise he just sounds like the breathlesss, raving lunatic that he is.

Dave still writes a few crackers every time, I'm just not that keen on slogging through filler for a "Gears of War" or a "Sudden Death" any more. And since he's still got Grammy fever, I can guarantee another album trying and failing to find that elusive 4/4 melodic chorus hit single. Yawn, you know what I want Dave?

Johnny K again? Last album had 3,000 less first week sales compared to Endgame and Dave says Endgame was badly promoted, blame the record co, etc. All of his songs are the same generic riffs and the usual retarded right wing lyrics he wouldn't have mouthed off on back in the 80's.

I'm a pretty big Megadeth fan but i seriously LOL'ed at branded's track listing...hopefully this album has more of a peace sells/rust in peace sound....of all the stuff megadeth has done in the last 10 years I think United Abominations was the best...hope this album is a good one

Just keep your ears open. Megadeth were never the best metal had to offer. New bands are popping up all the time and lesser known, quality bands are increasing their notoriety continuously.

You hit the nail on the head. It's funny to think Mega-Dave manages the impossible by being entitled, and self-righteous but also paranoid with an inferiority complex. His wealth and legacy are assured if not seriously tainted by his own words and actions... Surely he takes comfort in the hilarious and steep downward trajectory of Metallica.

I don't see Mustaine at 50 digging out the bullet belt and converse all-star hi-tops and releasing "Peace Sells" anytime soon. They like Metallica have become a legacy act, should stick to touring the classic stuff. The 13 album was kind of lame, I expect nothing different from their 14th album. I wished they'd played "Peace Sells" in its entirety a couple of years ago, 25 anniversary, but Dave won't perform The Conjuring or Bad Omen anymore, which blows.
