Opeth Premiere New Animated Music Video

Opeth have celebrated the one-year anniversary of their fourteenth studio album, The Last Will And Testament, with a newly released music video. Issued on November 22nd, 2024, the album marked a notable return to the death-metal elements the band had largely set aside since shifting toward progressive rock after 2008’s Watershed.

The video for “Paragraph 3,” directed and animated by Absynthe Moon Media, visualizes the narrative crafted by vocalist/guitarist Mikael Åkerfeldt for the record. The album’s storyline centers on the post–World War I reading of a wealthy patriarch’s will—an event that unravels a series of unsettling revelations about the family it concerns.
