Worm have officially signed with Century Media Records and will usher in a fresh wave of what they describe as “necromantic black doom” this winter. Their newly announced album, “Necropalace,” is scheduled to arrive on February 13th. Coinciding with the announcement is a cinematic music video/short film for the title track, directed by Norman Cabrera (known for his work on Danzig and The Walking Dead). You can view it below.
Frontman Phantom Slaughter shared the following about the forthcoming release:
“Welcome to the domain of dread known as Necropalace. This fortress has kept my memories and nightmares for centuries. Risen from ancient slumber, the curse is once again free to haunt starlit nights. While approaching the icy gates of Castle Ravenblood, a swirling mist begins to form. Phantom figures surround you. Enter if you dare but be warned, the darkness may consume your mortal soul forever. The ultimate evil has returned…”
Recording sessions for this album took place with producer Charlie Koryn (Morbid Angel), while Arthur Rizk (Soulfly, Blood Incantation) mixed and mastered it. The closing track has also seen them acquire some extra shred firepower, with a guest appearance from ex-Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman having been secured.
“Necropalace” track-list:
01 – “Gates To The Shadowzone (Intro)“
02 – “Necropalace“
03 – “Halls Of Weeping“
04 – “The Night Has Fangs“
05 – “Dragon Dreams“
06 – “Blackheart“
07 – “Witchmoon – The Infernal Masquerade” (feat. ex-Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman)
