Skull Fist Releases "For The Last Time" Video
Toronto-based heavy metal unit, Skull Fist, will release their new album, "Paid In Full," on April 22 via Atomic Fire Records. The band have released a video for the track, "For The Last Time," which can be viewed below.
Comments the band's Zach Schottler, "We filmed this video in -20º C weather in my shed. For your sake, I hope you are nowhere near as cold as we were when we did this. This song was actually written more recently than the other ones and I'm happy its tombstone has finally been erected." More...
Skull Fist Shares Second Trailer For New Album
Canadian heavy metal outfit Skull Fist has posted a second trailer online for their upcoming new album, "Paid In Full." You can check it out below. The album is scheduled to be released on April 22nd and was recorded at Vespa Studios, and mixed by Chris Snow and Eric Rats. Harry Hess mastered the album. Album art by Sharon .Ehman.
Since their leggy beginnings in 2006, dungeon keeper Zach Schottler and his ruthlessly shredding gang of reckless accomplices have released three archetypal heavy metal almanacs, eaten more dust than is good for their health, endured hardships (henceforth called shitty business partners) and propped up countless beers in countless bars in countless cities. Now, after 15 years on behalf of steel, Zach Schottler is really turning up the heat with the uniquely titled Paid In Full, a heavy metal wonder of the defiant middle-finger variety. With head held high, pockets empty and just enough gas in the tank to make it to the next show, Skull Fist have just officially won 2022. Paid In Full is heavy metal in all its glory and splendour: skillfully - unleashed - wide-legged. Written at home and recorded at Vespa Studios near Toronto, "Paid In Full" encompasses his sonic efforts of the past two years: tales of steel and legends from the underworld. More...
Skull Fist To Release New Album In April
The Fist is the law! Toronto based heavy metal high-flyers Skull Fist are more balls and ambition than is legally allowed. Since their steely inception back in 2006, dungeon keeper Zach Schottler and his shredding band of reckless companions have released three classic heavy metal almanacs, have eaten more dust than is good for their health, have endured various hardships (henceforth called shitty business partners) and countless beers at countless bars in countless cities. But now, after 15 years of metal and mayhem, Zach Schottler is coming into his own with the proverbially titled "Paid In Full," a heavy metal wonder of the defiant middle finger variant. With heads held high, empty pockets and enough gas to make the next show, Skull Fist have just won 2022. Don’t mess with the Fist.
"Paid In Full" will be released on April 22, 2022 via Atomic Fire Records.
Mastermind Zach Schottler comments:
"Im stoked on this new record, We worked a lot harder on this one than the last one and I think the tracks have some of the spark shit that chasing and head of the pack had. Anyways, I am obviously biased so well wait and see what all of you think, I'm interested to see that"
See for yourselves. Skull Fist present to you the first single release "Long Live The Fist." You can check out the video below. More...
Skull Fist Signs With Atomic Fire Records
Toronto-based heavy metal unit, Skull Fist, has more guts and balls than the police allow. Since their leg-busting beginnings in 2006, dungeon keeper Zach Schottler and his shredding gang of reckless accomplices have released three archetypal heavy metal almanacs, eaten more dust than is good for their health, endured hardships, and propped up countless beers in countless bars in countless cities. Now, after fifteen years on behalf of steel, the trio signs a worldwide record deal with Atomic Fire Records.
Schottler comments, "Pretty stoked about this. The world and music industry is sketchy as hell so its nice to be working with someone that isn't considering stabbing me for a few bucks. Markus and Flori are rad dudes and so far, the rest of their team are genuinely more interested in music than dollars. It's nice to see, so let’s see."
Florian Milz, label manager of Atomic Fire Records, adds. "I've known Zach and the band for a long time and have worked with them in the past. I love their music and am very happy that we get to release the new upcoming album through Atomic Fire Records. The Fist is the law!"
The new Skull Fist album will be released this April with further details to be announced in the coming weeks.

Skull Fist Issues Vocalist Update
Skull Fist just checked in with this announcement about a temporary change in the vocalist situation:
"If you've kept up with Skull Fist over the years you'd know we spend a lot of time touring and since fall 2015 have not played at all. I was having issues with my voice during this time and it took until January 2016 to be told I had a cyst on my vocal chords that was preventing me from singing.
"I had surgery a few months ago and was told this should fix the issue but unfortunately with that awesome luck that I have I was told there is still another cyst preventing me from singing in the higher keys.
"Because of this I have asked a friend to fill in for me on vocals. He's an amazing guy and an amazing singer who I've spent a lot time around over the years and actually happens to be Chris Steve's brother, Brian Stephenson. Sorry for the lack of tours, as well as the delay on the new album. More...

Pit Stories: The Two Towers
Each week we check in with metal bands from nations around the globe to find their favorite mosh pit memories. For this week's Pit Story, Canadian outfit Skull Fist shares the following tale of the "two towers," a fan duo who forced the crowd into on-stage interaction:
Everytime we played in Holland over the last 2 years I always noticed the same two guys in this one city. They were huge huge tall bro's that always used to come out and get totally shitfaced at the shows. I had a few beers with them on multiple occasions but one time we were playing this gig in the Netherlands with Chainsaw and the two huge dudes were there. We started actually calling them the "twin towers" since they were always together and big guys!
I called to them while I was on stage and said "yooooo twin towers!!!!" When I did this they took it as an opportunity haha. They literally just started grabbing people from the crowd and throwing them up on stage. When the people tried to climb off the stage they forced them to stay up there. Within about 3 minutes we had the whole entire crowd up on stage with us rocking and singing along to "Angel Witch" which we used to cover alot.More...

Skull Fist To Release New Album
Skull Fist's Jackie Slaughter has checked in with the following announcement about releasing a new album:
"It's what you've always been waiting for! It has new songs. And a different cover. It was recorded at a different studio. It has new guitar solos, and new rhythms. And new bass parts. And new drums. And new lyrics, and different girlish screams. And strange new dead cat vocals."
What the illustruous frontman is trying to say is that Skull Fist didn't bother with experiments, but instead opted once more to deliver timeless heavy metal perfect for every headbanger's party. The band recorded at the Vespa Studios in Toronto, with Slaughter stating: "It's actually owned by the bro who sang in Harem Scarem back in the early 90s! Totally right on. Harry Hess is his name. The album was mixed and mastered by Eric Ratz. We're doing the vocals at Lenz Studios with the same guy that did the last album actually, Dan Tsourounis."
The Canadian jokster explains the near 3-year break in between "Head of the Pack" and "Chasing the Dream" as follows: “Money doesn't grow on trees apparently. We didn't have enough moula when we originally planned to record, so we pushed it back 2 months and then one month later I selfishly decided to break my neck skateboarding which put us out for another 2 months.”
The track listing is as follows:
1. Hour To Live
2. Bad For Good
3. Chasing The Dream
4. Call Of The Wild
5. Sign Of The Warrior
6. You´re Gonna Pay
7. Don´t Stop The Fight
8. Shred´s Not Dead
9. Mean Street Rider
The album will be released on the following dates via NoiseArt Records and will be available as a CD, gatefold vinyl, and digital download:
Germany/Austria/Switzerland: January 10
Spain/Sweden/Norway: January 15
Rest of Europe: January 13
