SOiL's Ryan McCombs Hospitalised After Stroke

On Monday, November 3rd, Ryan McCombs (40) was hospitalised after waking up having noticed feeling uncomfortable and unable to use his right hand correctly.

His partner, Izzi, took McCombs to hospital and doctors have found him to have had a stroke during his sleep Sunday night.

McCombs has since written on his Facebook fanpage, at around 1:30pm (GMT), that he is recovering well, and that they caught his condition at a time that hasn't done too much damage. McCombs' post reads as follows:

"Yes'em, I have been hospitalized after having a stroke in my sleep Sunday night. Thanks to Izzi making me go to the hospital Monday morning we caught it before my stupid brain made to much of a mess of me.. I'm already doing better but I'm warned it'll be a bit of a road.. The Angry Hobbit is a stubborn prick and I believe sh*t will right itself in no time.. I mean hell, my stupid dumb right hand only made me take 15 minutes to write this...lol seriously. That's whooping the horses booty from just last night.. In great hands here and Izzi is keeping a protective eye.. Please give me time on the messages that have been sent on this. Thanks for the well wishes.. Bright sky's fu*kers.. "

Update 5:13pm GMT: McCombs has just announced that test results have come back stating it is safe for him to eat and drink again.

Here's wishing a speedy recovery for Ryan McCombs, stayed tuned for more.

Soil Announces U.K. Shows

Chicago based heavy rock band SOiL will hit the U.K. as direct support to reggae rockers Skindred starting January 22nd, 2014 at The Junction in Cambridge England.

This tour will be the first U.K. trek in support of SOiL's sixth studio release "Whole," available now through Pavement Entertainment and AFM Records. "Whole" is the first album to feature original vocalist Ryan McCombs since 2004's "Re.De.Fine." Russian and European tours will follow the U.K. dates, with further details forthcoming.

"We are both excited and scared to tour the UK with Skindred," states SOiL bassist Tim King. "Excited because Skindred are great friends of ours and it's been long overdue to tour together again. Scared because Skindred are great friends of ours and we will definitely be in danger of having too much fun and getting in too much trouble together!"

Skindred's drummer Arya Goggin says: "We always pride ourselves on having great guests on our tours and we are really excited to have SOiL as our main special guests on our Kill the Power UK Tour especially with Ryan back in the lineup. They are great friends and absolutely slay it live so we cant wait to party with them. We are also extremely excited to have LA band Viza also join the tour and to bring some of their unique energetic gypsy punk metal madness to the proceedings which should make for a great evening." Soil Streaming New Song

Hard rock band SOiL is gearing up for the release for sixth studio album, "Whole," with a brand new track called "The Hate Song" available today courtesy of RevolverMag.com. Check out the track below.

"Whole" is scheduled for release on August 20th via Pavement Entertainment/AFRM Records and can be pre-ordered now at iTunes, Amazon.com and BestBuy.com.

“It was funny how the song came about,” singer Ryan McCombs says of the new single. “Adam was doodling on his guitar making this super annoying sound when he caught me staring at him with a WTF look. He apologized but I responded that 'No. That annoying fucking sound would be perfect for this song about Hate I had an idea for.' The sound itself makes me want to knock holes in the wall.”

SOiL’s sixth studio album, "Whole," marks singer Ryan McCombs’ return to the band for the first time since 2004’s "Re.De.Fine," after spending six years as the vocalist for Drowning Pool. SOiL will hit the road this week on 3 month long tour that includes headlining shows, festivals, and a month long trek with Dope. Dates are available after the jump. More...

“We have also had a lot of cool opportunities to drop by some radio stations and play some acoustic sets which has been very unique and cool for us. There a lot of stations show some love to our song ‘The Lesser Man,’ so we are doing our best to show the love back and come hang with them all.
