Relapse Records is excited to announce the signing of Cleveland, OH metal/hardcore veterans Ringworm.
Formed in 1990, Ringworm (Human Furnace - Vocals, Matt Sorg - Guitar, John Comprix - Guitar, Ed Stephens - Bass, Danny Zink - Drums) has previously released six full-length records on labels Deathwish, A389, and Victory Records in addition to playing countless shows with the likes of Cro-Mags, Integrity, Kreator, Goatwhore, Nasum, and many others. The band will be entering the studio to record a Relapse debut this April. Vocalist Human Furnace commented on the signing:
"Throughout our existence I've felt that Ringworm has always been the 'black sheep,' never quite fitting into any specific genre mold. Sometimes too metal for hardcore, other times too hardcore for metal. We enjoy distorting the line between the two and, often, completely destroying it. But I've always felt that we've never quite had a home that understood where we're coming from and embraced the fact what we are a 'black sheep' and we aren't cookie-cut bullshit. We feel that we finally found that home. They understand that there are legions of black sheep out there that don't fit into society's 'one size fits all' mold. We couldn't be more excited to be more working with Relapse." More...
Cleveland hardcore act Ringworm has released a new music video for “Used Up, Spit Out” exclusively through Metal Sucks. The video, taken from the "Scars" album, can be viewed at this location.
Vocalist Human Furnace commented, “We had this great opportunity to use this huge, open, dirty space and pretty much had a skeleton crew to do the video with 2 cameras and a giant crane. Good times! Every video we do I end up completely filthy afterwards. Guess that's my thing, plus the rest of the band got to hurl big rocks and clumps of dirt at the back of my head for a few minutes, so I'm sure they enjoyed that. We are really happy with the way things turned out. Don Tyler and the rest of the guys did a great job on short notice and with a shoestring budget. This is just a warm-up video, we got something really awesome planned for the next one no doubt.”
Ringworm will be hitting the road on May 29th, 2012 with support from Everything Went Black. Dates are as follows: More...

Everything Went Black also has several high-profile shows coming up before and after the Ringworm dates, including an appearance at the Sound & Fury festival in Santa Barbara in June. The complete list of dates is as follows: More...

Having recently returned from a European mini-tour, All Out War is the process of setting up a tour with Ringworm. Their only confirmed show at this point is on October 2nd in Trenton, NJ with the return of Shutdown.
All Out War is touring in support of their latest effort, "Into the Killing Fields," released this summer on Victory Records. The band comments: "Thanks to everyone who has bought INTO THE KILLING FIELDS. We worked hard on the release and are very proud of it."
The biggest oddity of Charred Walls of the Damned’s first tour is they are playing smaller venues – bars and small theaters and the like. With the amount of experience and reputation this supergroup has (although admittedly half of the studio members aren’t on the road), it seems like they should be playing arenas and ampitheaters, or at least opening for big name headliners.
But as it stands, Charred Walls of the Damned kicked off their first ever tour in Chicago at the Empty Bottle. The Empty Bottle is the type of old school dive where the air feels sticky, not to mention the restroom floors. Thus, it is perfect for an old school traditional metal show. And suffice it to say there wasn’t anyone in the crowd that became a metal fan after hearing “Nothing Else Matters” in high school, and nobody was rocking the latest Hot Topic sampler on the way to the show either. The folks here were all metal-for-life types, even the young ones. More...
Pulling Teeth is flying over to Iceland to play a couple shows in November, and have a couple special shows planned for Baltimore in January; one with Pulling Teeth playing as Thor's backing band, and then the next night a stacked show with Integrity, Ringworm, Starkweather and more.
Dom comments: "Anyone who knows me, knows of my bizarre obsession with 80’s Canadian metal god THOR. The god of thunder. He who bends pure steel on stage, blows up hot water bottles, wields the blade…and well you get the idea. Well hold on to your seats because the legend himself Jon Mikl Thor will be heading to Baltimore to celebrate my 33rd birthday and rock you senseless. He’s recruited Pulling Teeth as his backing band and we’ll be playing a set of all my favorite Thor classics. This is a once in lifetime event, one for the books and something you DON’T want to miss."
"And don't miss Pulling Teeth playing The Fest this weekend in Gainsville either!!!"
