Horizon Ignited Unveils New Single

Finnish newcomers Horizon Ignited wrapped up an incredible 6-week European tour last autumn, where they supported Hypocrisy alongside Septicflesh and The Agonist, picking up new fans in droves along the way.

Today, the band are pleased to release a new single, "Carry Me," which has only previously been included on the vinyl version of their latest album "Towards The Dying Lands," released in July 2022. You can listen to the song here.

The band commented on the song,
"When we released our second album Towards The Dying Lands, there was one song that was included only as a vinyl exclusive. It's a brilliant track with a huge bridge and we decided to play it live during our first ever European tour with Hypocrisy. We quickly noticed that it works in a live setting as well and since then we have all fallen deeply in love with the track, so it brings me much joy to announce the digital release of 'Carry Me!' We hope that this track pleases our fans as much as it pleases us and we can't wait to play it live again."

Horizon Ignited Debuts "Beyond Your Reach" Video

Relentless Finnish sextet Horizon Ignited strike again, with another new single from their upcoming album "Towards The Dying Lands," which is due out on July 1st via Nuclear Blast.

The track "Beyond Your Reach" is an anthem, filled with captivating, melodic guitars, driving you onto a huge chorus. It comes accompanied by a music video, filmed in Ylöjärvi, Finland, under the direction of Tuomas Kurikka and Patrik Nuorteva of Riivata visuals.

Frontman Okko Solanterä commented on the single:
"'Beyond Your Reach' is about unity. Coming together to bring down tyranny and oppression. A slightly different subject for our lyrics, but they fit the song very well!
The song itself is very energetic and empowering with its catchy melodies, so what did we do to bring a bit more darkness and punchiness to it? We made a breakdown. The first of its kind for this band, but definitely not the last! This is an anthem that we cannot wait to play live." More...

Horizon Ignited Posts New Lyric Video Online

After the announcement of their highly anticipated album "Towards The Dying Lands," set to be released on July 1st, and after the release of the first two singles from the upcoming LP, Horizon Ignited now deliver their third single called "Servant." The track is accompanied by a lyric video.

The Finns have once again delivered a tempting taster of the new record, combining fast heavy metal elements with demanding lyricism.

Singer Okko Solanterä stated about the new single:
"'Servant' is the fastest and thrashiest song of the album. Very straightforward and aggressive, with a melodic chorus giving some room to breathe and bringing some nice dynamics. The song is this Lovecraftian sci-fi story about a person who pledges himself to serve a dark purpose, becoming a loyal subject to an eldritch being who wages war and brings death across the whole universe, literally conquering planets within his wake." Horizon Ignited To Release New Album In July

Newly signed melodic death metal band Horizon Ignited are proud to announce the upcoming release of their new long-player "Towards The Dying Lands." Their first album published under Nuclear Blast will be released on July 1st 2022. Following on from the recent release of massive title track "Towards The Dying Lands," the Finnish sextet have now revealed the next banger from their highly anticipated record.

The Finns deliver their brand new single "Reveries" alongside a new stunning music video, to celebrate the next big milestone in their career. The highly lauded newcomers of melodic death metal convince once again with fiery riffs, giving a preview of what is yet to come. "Towards The Dying Lands" is available for pre-order now!

Horizon Ignited comments:
"Reveries is a song about losing all your hope and drowning in despair that you can not escape from. What is it like to lose the grip of yourself and your humanity? How deep are the wounds that grief and loss cut? These core lyrical themes are surrounded by an atypical song for Horizon Ignited. Intro and choruses are massive and melodic giving the listener a spark of hope which is then killed by the heavy verses. The fight between these two main themes of the song creates a fascinating contrast for the lyrics.

"The music video for the song was filmed during the band's pre production session for 'Towards The Dying Lands' album at Lammaskallion Audio in Tuusula, Finland. The video is a very raw set of the band performing the song, combined with aerial footage from the same day, which turned out to be probably the most beautiful day in autumn 2019. The video was edited by keyboardist Miska Ek and guitarist Johannes Mäkinen.

"Aggressive, melancholic and melodic - Reveries." More...

Finnish melodic death metal band Horizon Ignited have officially joined the biggest metal label in the world, Nuclear Blast Records. Over the past thirty frantic years, this passion-evoking heavy metal subgenre has undeniably evolved and changed, but some complaints have also been raised: where are all the magnificent new upstarts?
Well, as so many times before, kindly turn your face towards Finland - still the most metal country in the world - and meet melodic death metal's hottest newcomers... Horizon Ignited.

To celebrate the signing, the Finns have instantly released their single 'Towards The Dying Lands' which is accompanied by a music video, to launch this new phase of their career with a bang!

Horizon Ignited commented on the signing to Nuclear Blast:
"We are truly honoured beyond belief to join the Nuclear Blast family with our second album! We did set our goals high, but I don't think that any of us were expecting this.
It is truly a dream come true to have our music released by a legendary label that has housed many of our idols throughout the years.

"With Nuclear Blast we are able to take our first steps on this musical journey that allows us to bring our vision alive and to share our music with the world. This is the beginning so stay tuned!"

Nuclear Blast A&R Jaap Wagemaker adds:
"Nuclear Blast is stoked to announce the signing of the up and coming melodic death metal band Horizon Ignited from Finland. This band took us by surprise after we were introduced to them by their manager Maurizio Iacono from Kataklysm. Their sound although based in melodic death metal is also influenced by metalcore as well and has the potential to appeal to a very wide audience.
The band has already built up quite a following on Spotify with their self released album 'After The Storm'. Their new songs are even stronger which is proven by the 2 singles that we will release first. Later on this year the band will also make their debut on the European stages. This band is ready to take the world by storm!" More...
