The exclusive track premiere comes from the band’s forthcoming studio outing, "Exodromos." Spanish death metal act Wormed is pleased to announce the release of a second full-length. Titled "Exodromos," the ten-track production was recorded at Sadman Studios in Madrid, Spain and mastered by Mika Jussila (Amorphis, Impaled Nazarene, Children of Bodom, Nightwish etc.) at Finnvox Studios in Helsinki, Finland.
"Exodromos" will detonate on March 26th, 2013 via Willowtip Records. The opening track from the release can be heard below, and the following press release was issued about the album:
"Sophisticated, sharp and meticulously calculated, with Exodromos Wormed delivers an unhinged onslaught of concentrated brutality. Made of dissonant yet dynamic guitar work traveling at breakneck speeds, the record offers up some of the band’s most technical and plainly obliterating material to date. Exodromos is a prequel to Planisphaerium -- originally released in 2003 via Macabre Mementos Records in Japan then given the remastered treatment by Willowtip -- a story which speaks of futuristic science concepts and chaotic visions of the last human left in the cosmos."
The track listing is as follows:
2. The Nonlocality Trilemma
4. Solar Neutrinos
5. Multivectorial Reionization
6. Spacetime Ekleipsis Vorticity
7. Darkflow Quadrivium
8. Stellar Depopulation

Spanish sci-fi death metal band Wormed recently reissued its album "Quasineutrality" as "Quasineutrality V.2" in a digipak with two bonus tracks on Willowtip Records. Track three, “Vortex Mitosis,” is a remix based on the original song “Voxel Mitosis” and was recorded and mixed by Wormed vocalist Phlegeton in January 2012. Track four, “Tunnel Of Ions,” (live) was recorded at Mountains Of Death in Switzerland in 2011 an remastered by DP Rey at Delta314 Sound Studio.
Wormed is a quirky band, in that all of its songs are themed with astrophysics and some themes of metaphysics and possible quantum physics. They even call their band members cosmonauts. Wormed will be appearing at that three day gala Extremefest during July 5th-7th, with more details over on the event page. Below is an upload of the studio version of "Tunnel of Ions," whose live remix is featured on the reissue.

Fatigue had definitely begun to set in by Day Four. Through the beer belly, muscle ache (everyone’s hotel was up the hill), blown-out senses, and heat I thought could only happen in the south, I persevered though badly worn. The venue was getting pretty rough also. Everyone was tired, but still partying hard. Inside it was sticky and stinky like it had not been before. But that didn’t stop anyone from enjoying the rest of the great lineup on the last day of the mighty MDF.
Bright and early in the afternoon (although it seemed like night in the main room), hometown boys Visceral Disgorge began the festivities. They brought to mind the early works of death metal. Trauma and gore galore, this band encompassed the snarl inhaled low growls, din-destroying high tuned snare, gallop picking guitar done by Eric.
Bad acid Trip’s singer Dirk Rogers opening question to us was, “Is everyone drunk?,” and by just the sight of the crowd through the hours it was obvious that we all were. Crazed rock riffage and grindcore led this band to a energetic frenzy. Dirk was like Ian Curtis and Johnny Rotten; a twisted love child onstage. This band had true dynamic ranging from guttural blasts to hardcore breakdowns to strange, psychotic circus dementia. More...
The Maryland Deathfest organizers report that "Sonar will be re-opening before MDF, and technically they already have."
As previously reported, the venue of the Maryland Deathfest was up in the air when Baltimore's Sonar nightclub failed to renew their liquor license and closed its doors.
The organizers futher commented: "These last couple of days have been incredibly confusing and stressful, but we are currently back to the regularly scheduled program. And don't worry, beyond plan B is a plan C, because that's how we roll. See you in a couple of weeks."
As such, the set times that were previously announced should now hold.
