Knocked Loose Premiere Team Up With Denzel Curry

Metalcore band Knocked Loose have unleashed their brand new single “Hive Mind.” The track marks the GRAMMY-nominated band’s first new release since 2024 and features a guest appearance from rapper Denzel Curry, who has previously dipped into the metal and hardcore world. Curry and Knocked Loose also shared the stage at last year’s Outbreak Fest in Manchester, UK.

Curry has continued expanding his reach within heavy music as of late, currently serving as one of the opening acts for Deftones on their overseas run. The music video for “Hive Mind” was co-directed by Eric Richter (Dying Wish, Spite) and Knocked Loose vocalist Brian Garris, with filming taking place on October 15, 2025 at the Dave Armstrong Extreme Park in Louisville, KY.

Deftones Premiere New Track “Milk Of The Madonna”

Deftones are officially back for round two, as the Sacramento, CA alternative metal icons have just dropped “milk of the madonna”, the second single from their long-awaited tenth studio album, private music. The track—positioned as song #8 on the upcoming 11-track effort—is now available for streaming below.

This new cut follows last month’s launch of the album cycle, which began with the premiere of its powerful opener, “my mind is a mountain”.

The band’s latest chapter arrives after an extended creative process, with private music recorded during multiple studio sessions. Frontman Chino Moreno, in particular, emerges refreshed and reenergized, having embraced sobriety after navigating personal struggles during the pandemic.

Great American Ghost Premiere New Music Video

Boston-based metalcore outfit Great American Ghost have dropped a music video for their newly released cover of Deftones' track “Hole In The Earth.” Originally appearing as the lead single from Deftones’ 2006 album “Saturday Night Wrist,” the song has been reimagined through Great American Ghost’s aggressive lens.

The band recorded the cover with GRAMMY-winning producer Will Putney (Body Count, Fit For An Autopsy) and Steve Seid, while Chris Klumpp of LIMBS directed the accompanying music video, which was filmed at Ghost Hit Recording in West Springfield, MA.

Strict (Quicksand, Ex-Deftones) Premiere New Track

Strict, the emerging project from Sergio Vega (Quicksand, ex-Deftones) and his wife Azu Rodriguez, have unveiled a music video for their second single, “Human Wishes.” Directed by A.F. Cortés, the video accompanies the new track produced by Will Yip (Turnstile, Code Orange). The duo previously made their debut with the single “Say It” in November 2024.

Louder Than Life 2025 Announces Full Lineup

Louder Than Life 2025 promises one of the biggest and loudest festivals in North America this year. Over 160 bands will perform on 6 stages September 18, 19, 20, and 21 at the Highland Festival Grounds at Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, KY for the 11th edition of Louder Than Life. Louder Than Life 2025 also marks the largest lineup in the history of producer Danny Wimmer Presents.

In addition to the return of metal legends Slayer, the four-day destination event will also feature Rob Zombie in a global exclusive performance of Astro-Creep: 2000 in honor of the album’s 25th anniversary, plus Marilyn Manson on Thursday; Avenged Sevenfold, Sleep Token and Breaking Benjamin on Friday; Deftones, Bad Omens and A Perfect Circle on Saturday; and Bring Me The Horizon, $uicideboy$ and Evanescence on Sunday.

The festival will also feature performances from Knocked Loose, Three Days Grace, Lamb of God, Mudvayne, I Prevail, Spiritbox, All Time Low, Dream Theater, Stone Temple Pilots, Motionless in White, Cypress Hill, Acid Bath, DOWN, Lorna Shore, Bruce Dickinson, and many more.

Hellfest Announces 2021 Lineup

Hellfest organizers announce that they were able to retain 90% of their 2020 lineup. Thirteen bands will be replaced organizers promise.

Bands that won't be joining the 2021 lineup include: Incubus, Mastodon, Infectious Groove, Thy Art Is Murder, Alter Bridge, Baby Metal, Joyous Wolf, Unleashed, Meshuggah, The Black Dahlia Murder, Periphery, Body Count and August Burns Red.

74 More Bands Confirmed For Graspop 2020

The organisers of Belgium's premier metal festival, Graspop Metal Meeting have confirmed a further 74 bands for next year's edition of the event. Among the newly confirmed bands joining previously announced headliners Judas Priest and Iron Maiden will be hard rock pioneers Deep Purple, nu metal favourites Korn, Chicago stars Disturbed, the recently reunited Mercyful Fate, California's own, Deftones and pop punk stars The Offspring. The organisers of the Download festival, the biggest rock and metal event in Great Britain, have announced that the 2020 edition will be headlined by Kiss, Iron Maiden and System Of A Down. A statement from the organisers reads as follows:

"Downloaders, the day is finally here - your first Download Festival 2020 lineup announcement is here! We couldn’t be more stoked to reveal that your headliners will be... KISS, Iron Maiden, and System Of A Down!
