Mire Interivew/Performance Footage Available

Montreal, QC's Mire performed on Global TV Montreal's Morning Show earlier today (April 7th). Watch the video below of the band's interview and acoustic performance of "Limitless Pt. 2," or over at GlobalNews.ca here.

Mire officially released new album "Inward/Outward" on March 18th, which follows the band's 2010 self-titled EP. Vocalist JP LaChapelle comments on the release:

"Interpreted through our fingers, tongued and toe tips, this album which we've been working on for 2 years at totally different points in our lives, demonstrates the fan of emotions of 5 individuals' experience. The craft is the loom into which our soil-tending, sun-vising and pest-warding efforts bear fruit. Love for the fate of man and the anger to defend it. Overwhelmed with a sense of innate creativity, we all curb our nature to the structures put in place for our short lives; whether building an enterprise, community or institution of any kind. Mire's decided to make music. Filtered as pure as possible, our passion rendered this product.

"Our maiden album expresses the plight of an impeached animal nature, faced with the philosophy of man's fate run through questionable funnels. Throughout our creative process, we've experienced different stages and shed skins. The 5 colors we shine combine through the prism of 'Inward Outward' to produce the first of Mire's own hues. Being able to walk one's own path is its own reward and we five musicians feel incredibly fortunate to have seized the chance to create this album. That's what we celebrate every time we hear it." Vcalist JP LaChapelle comments: "Implied by the name, 'Tyrannicide' is about exterminating the tyrant that rules you. Be it a cruel lover, an autocratic leader or dictatorial boss; the essence of Rock should liberate you to choose freedom and independence over indoctrination. Break out of your borders and blast past the bounds; burn the limitless fuel of your livelihood and beat your wings to fly. Earn your Name. Go Kill The Tyrant."

Mire Announces TV Performance

Mire will release "Inward/Outward" on March 18th to follow a 2010 self-titled EP. The Montreal band has also now announced it will be performing on Quebec's Musique Plus channel for the show Top Musique. Vocalist JP LaChapelle comments:

"Musique Plus has always crossed my mind in terms of establishing myself as a public figure, even when I wanted to become a VJ Host as a kid. I didn't expect to be on air behind the microphone growing up, but it's great to grow out of some stereotypes. Now I understand that every stroke of the brush gets us closer to popping up on the map in terms of people's interest. So it's a real honor to get invited for a live interview, and we look forward to delivering a kick-in-the-chest performance at 6pm on Friday Feb 28th. Turn up the volume on your TV."
