Sinner To Release Final Album In July

Sinner, featuring Primal Fear bassist / co-founder Mat Sinner, will release their final album, "Boom Bang Goodbye," on July 31 via Reigning Phoenix Music.

With this final album, Mat Sinner closes an eventful chapter spanning 40+ years and 19 albums. "Boom Bang Goodbye" unifies a gathering of high-class musicians including Ronnie Romero (Rainbow), Michael Sadler (Saga), Björn “Speed” Strid (Soilwork), Jim Müller (Kissin’ Dynamite) and Erik Mårtensson (Eclipse) – to name but a few – igniting a brilliant last fireworks of 11 songs. One such song is "Wait," which has been given the music video treatment and can be seen below.

"I wanted the first song on the album to be a feel-good, upbeat track, something to lift your spirits, because I didn’t want to add to the political madness we’re in with a depressing soundtrack. ‘Wait’ is also representative of the whole album. Working with Michael Bormann again after 10 years was an instant connection; the chemistry was perfect. And, like on the entire album, drummer Moritz Müller and my partner Alex Scholpp delivered an incredibly awesome performance. Plus, my friend Jacob Hansen did an absolutely brilliant mix, and Mat was 100% happy!" – Mat Sinner More...

Sinner Signs With Atomic Fire Records

Atomic Fire Records today welcomes German hard rock quartet Sinner to its expanding roster. The band will release a 12-track full-length, aptly titled "Brotherhood," this summer. Produced by frontman Mat Sinner and co-produced by guitarist Tom Naumann, "Brotherhood" was recorded by Basi Roeder at Backyard Studios as well as Mitch Kunz at Apollo 13 Audio, and mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios, Denmark.

Vocalist/bassist Mat Sinner comments, "We're enormously happy to be a new member of the Atomic Fire Records family and to work with many great ex-colleagues. 'Brotherhood' simply is such a strong album that we need their motivated and loyal team to make it a big success."

Says Atomic Fire Records CEO Markus Wosgien, "We've been connected and good friends with Mat Sinner and his band mates for a long time. To welcome Sinner at Atomic Fire Records is nothing but a matter of the heart for us because - like Primal Fear - they're a very important part of our past but now also of our present and future again; and we're even prouder and happier about their monstrous new album that was crafted in brilliant teamwork by Mat (mostly) alongside Tom Naumann. 'Brotherhood' is a heavy, straight and hard-hitting opus, graced with an impressive amount of guests and friends. The album title says it all - it's definitely another masterful addition to the already long listing of great Sinner records."

More information on Sinner's upcoming record as well as a taster in the form of the first digital single and pre-order details will be presented soon.

Sinner Postpones 30th Anniversary Shows

Sinner recently announced upcoming 30th anniversary "Sinfest" shows, however the string of live appearances have now been cancelled due to a health issue with front man Mat Sinner. He issued the following statement online (translated from German, so it's a little off):

"Unfortunately, I have no good news just before Xmas. I have a stubborn bursitis in the shoulder with a score of the biceps tendon.

"My specialist thinks if I need to not jeopardize my violent program for 2014 and avoid an operation I at least. There will be 3 weeks of absolute rest and intensive treatments. A double show with Sinner & Voodoo Circle is impossible under these circumstances.

"Sinfest is postponed until next year, the first dates are confirmed: 26.12.14 Mannheim 27.12.14 Regensburg 28.12.14 Memmingen Merry Christmas & we look forward to the Primal Fear tour!"
