Moonspell Announces New Album Title As "Alpha Noir"

Portugal's Moonspell has unveiled the title and release date for the band's upcoming opus and follow-up to the 2008 album "Night Eternal." Moonspell's new album is to be named "Alpha Noir" and will see official release on April 27th, 2012 via Napalm Records. The album was produced and mixed by Tue Madsen.

The special edition will also feature a second CD titled "Omega White," which includes eight original musical themes. Further details on the full track listing will be announced as they are made available.

Moonspell also recently posted a year-end 2011 recap video clip online.

Wow, can't believe "Night Eternal" came out in '08. A good record on its own merits but following the brilliant "Memorial" had to be daunting.

I'd love to hear them make something on that level again. "Memorial" maintained a perfect thematic atmosphere that ebbed and flowed so well and while I don't want a rehash, I'd love something similarly consistant and beatiful.

Here's to hoping they can pull it off!
