Aspera Changes Band Name To Above Symmetry
Last year Norwegian act Aspera announced it would be changing names due to copyright issues. The band has now announced its new name will officially be Above Symmetry. The "Ripples" album will now also be re-released under the new name on April 25th, 2011. The updated album cover artwork can be viewed below.
Commenting on having to change the name, Above Symmetry vocalist Atle Pettersen commented, "It's just one of those things, but it's not something that we're going to let get to us, or to detract from what we do. It's unfortunate, yes, because we were doing so well under our previous name, getting such good reviews and things, but you've just got to shrug your shoulders and carry on. It's the same band with the same musicians - all that's changed is the name. And at the end of the day it's our music that counts!"

I like the new name for this band way better than original name.
