Video of Phil Anselmo Performing "Would?" with Alice In Chains
A video clip of ALICE IN CHAINS performing the song "Would?" with ex-PANTERA frontman Philip Anselmo on March 10, 2006 at the taping of the VH1 Classic series "Decades Rock Live!" has been posted online at YouTube.com.
ALICE IN CHAINS played five songs on as part of a "Decades Rock Live!" tribute to HEART. The episode officially premiered on May 5 but the final 90-minute program only included two songs from AIC ("Would?" and "Rooster").
Anselmo sang two songs with the group (Would? and "Them Bones"), while COMES WITH THE FALL frontman William DuVall performed another two and dueted with HEART vocalist Ann Wilson on "Rooster".
ALICE IN CHAINS recently confirmed the five dates and cities for its U.S. mini-tour, beginning on May 18 in Los Angeles and ending on May 23 in New York City. The shows will all take place in either small clubs or theatres.
These gigs and a previously announced date at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in August are the only announced North American shows for the reunited group so far, with European festival dates on tap for June and July.
As previously reported, ALICE IN CHAINS will be joined on vocals by DuVall. However, surprise guest vocalists and musicians are expected to show up at each of the five U.S. dates.

That was good....
It wasn't great but I got goosebumps at the very start with Cantrell doing the opening vocal and then when Phil closed the end of the song...
I think this would be a good career move for everyone involved....Phil maybe needs some vocal coaching but he can hit those Stayley highs....It's just been since "Cowboy's" since he's had to(been able to) do that....
Plus Phil supposedly had very little practice.

Down is happening.
I've read that we can count on a new cd sometime this year, escpecially with superjoint being past tense.
In all seriousness AIC is probably a one time deal...But it Would(?) be nice to see an AIC line up like this. Phils got the pipes, the stage presence and the gift of good lyrics....
I can't really concieve of any other popular-singer fronting that band.

Hey, I got a great idea: F*** PHIL ANSELMO. All those Pantera songs about strength and perseverance and this f**khead wants to blame the media for Dimebag's death. I hope every project Phil Anselmo touches goes down in flames. This piece of sh*t deserves no less. Superjoint sounded like wet trash anyways. Except "F*ck Your Enemy". That song rocks, but I digress. The importance of anything Phil Anselmo does is minimal for me, to say the least. I think this douche has a lot of balls singing anything live ever again. Especially an AIC song. Don't get me wrong, but how would anybody feel if Sublime resurfaced with some sub-par,washed-up sh*thead behind the microphone? F*ck Phil now and forever. Stronger than all, except for heroin, pills, and awful side-projects. It's really sad, though because Down is indeed happening. I've got an idea: How about Down replace Phil with that queer from the Darkness? Anybody could write those lyrics, really. Phil is just a junkie a**wipe. Forget about it. Alice in Chains carved their niche just as Pantera did, and nobody is ever going to replace Dimebag. RIP Superjoint! And more importantly, RIP Dime. Feel free to call me a Phil hater because that's what I am. Also feel free to copy and paste my comments in your own posts. Anyone who thinks that AIC should be resurrected doesn't really understand that much about music, anyways.

i thought phil sounded pretty good. that giant bag of douche that was singing rooster souded like almighty ass. i was contemplating shoving a phillip's head screwdriver through my ears while fa**ot was singing. and f*** you phil hater, you contradictory bastard. you say superjoint sounded like wet trash and then you said rip superjoint. are you f***ing bipolar? lame a$$ b****.

The first time I heard AIC they made me f***ing change the channel. They still make me change it. Especially that stupid, fa**ot - ass, singer. They do not have the choice for Phil to front for them. He is the f***ing man and I am sure he does not want to play that fa**ot a$$ music. He did it for Dimebag.

OK !!!! I finally saw the HEART tribute on VH1 which featured AIC.This of course is the episode with Anselmo singing lead vocals on Would.....Like I saide it was a slightly bad fit.I kept expecting him to tear into Mouth For War.However this does not mean I think this is a bad thing.I'm thinking they need more time to gel as a group with song's that are geard toward Phil & his particular talent's as opposed to doing old standard' that only Layne could do.So let's cross our finger's and waite for a new album.I think it's fair to assume that show was just an intro to get people used to the idea of Phil as the new lead singer.

yeah i know what you mean...like jerry cantrell, mike inez, and sean kinney. they don't really understand music.
what a f***ing idiot

The fact that Layne Staley was the original singer of AIC and was one of the greatest singers ever.. the name Alice In Chains isnt under his name its under Jerry's so its up to Jerry weather to leave the band name the same with phil.. either or I think Phil will be the best replacement that youll ever find. No one else is that good..

R.I.P. dimebag and pantera for that matter. but i dont blame Phil so f*** all the phil haters. Nobodys hurting worse than him right now. I hope to god at least Vinnie and Phil can reunite and put this bs behind them .We already lost Pantera forever i dont think i could make it with out the hope of oneday hearing Phil f***ing rip those bad a$$ vocals somewhere. Nobody makes the hair stand up on my neck like Pantera, dime, and Phil. Diehard till the end ill always be searching for the next PANTERA. NOBODY IS OR WAS EVER EVEN CLOSE. I need to feel the f***ing energy again.....Phil its up to you and Vinnie now make it happen...a tribute album, a movie something for the f***ing fans who live Pantera!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way for the record Alice in Chain sucks the big one...Even the mighty Phil Anselmo couldnt give them a facelift......Here comes the rooster...probably the lamest, overplayed, overated song ever. God i thing ill die if i see something that awfull again...on the flip side though Down does kick a$$ though sjr not as good but its still phil...I thing i rather see Phil with Limp biscut than aic!!11111

I thought Philip was supposed to not be able to walk for like a year?
Vox were a little spotty but overall that was a pretty good performance.
