Dead Heat Debuts "The Order" Music Video
West Coast crossover faction Dead Heat is pleased to unleash their latest video for "The Order" from their "Process Of Elimination" full-length.The premiere comes on the eve of the record‘s official release Friday, October 10th on Metal Blade Records
Produced by the band with Paul Fig (Deftones, Trivium, Jerry Cantrell), "Process Of Elimination" is Dead Heat‘s first album for Metal Blade. Across eleven heavy tracks, it sees the Oxnard, California-based band reaching a sonic and lyrical apex. The record follows the band‘s critically adored, 2023 released "Endless Torment" EP and serves as a continuation and progression musically, while thematically it often touches on Dead Heat's disdain for the powers that be.
Comments vocalist Chris Ramos on today‘s single; "'The Order' is about knowing your place in line when it comes to things. Just because you‘re given something, doesn‘t mean you always earn it and when it comes to that, real recognizes real. Some people all they do is leech off others and use them just to benefit themselves and break away later. Always know there‘s an order to things and if you don‘t follow you don‘t need to be around." ten56. Releases "IO" Music Video
Following the release of their critically acclaimed new album "IO" and a hugely successful headline run across the UK and Europe, French bruisers ten56. have shared an incredibly moving new music video for the album's title track. It's the final song of the record, bookending their most devastating release yet by shining a bright light on the raw vulnerability at its core.
"IO" is stylistically different from the rest of the record, and intentionally so. Lo-fi beats, reverb-drenched guitars and fluttering electronic textures soundtrack an exploration of vocalist Aaron Matts' experiences with substance abuse; a subject he found himself confronting during the recording process that spilled out into the album's content. The song is intended to be both a statement and the closing of a chapter in Matts' life which makes the music video, filmed during his rehab process, even more powerful. He recently did an incredible interview with Kerrang! about how making this album aided his recovery, which can be read in full here.
Speaking on the single and video, Matts shares:
"This track came at a pivotal time in my life, both literally and figuratively. Looking back at the lyrical content that I've put out, I felt that I needed to directly address the why's and how's as to why I tend to fall into the same lyrical stupor from track to track. At least that's how I felt about it.
"This song and its music video also came at a turning point in my life. Between two tours I was admitted to an addiction treatment centre in order to get over a long standing opioid and Benzodiazepine addiction. We were able to film the images during my stay at the rehabilitation clinic, and while on paper this sounds cool; it was a very vulnerable and uncomfortable period for me.
"I hope this track and it's music video can eventually help anyone else experiencing something similar in their lives. I'm not perfect, but I'm doing my best and I have my boys by my side. Love yourselves." More...

My Dying Bride Parts Ways With Aaron Stainthorpe
Thirty five years on from their formation, British doom metal legends My Dying Bride has parted ways with vocalist Aaron Stainthorpe. A statement from the band reads as follows:
"My Dying Bride has decided to part ways with vocalist Aaron Stainthorpe.
"Please understand that this decision does not come lightly, hence our initial and painful silence while we gathered our thoughts and carefully considered our response to the disengaged, eerily abandoned state we suddenly found ourselves in.
"Our collective decision to move forward without him is not something we thought we would ever be forced to say, but to ensure a continued legacy for what we hold dear to our hearts, we simply have to move past this. Whilst change can be difficult, we are doing our best to bring this new chapter forward with powerful positivity.
"My Dying Bride are not on hiatus. We were never on hiatus. However, we do genuinely wish Aaron all the luck in the world in his new solo endeavours."
Along with lead guitarist Andrew Craighan, Aaron Stainthorpe was one of the two remaining original members of the band until today. Two weeks before the release of their latest album, "A Mortal Binding," My Dying Bride cancelled all scheduled tour dates, citing internal tensions. Stainthorpe has said that he feared pushing forward in their state would cause relationships to become worse and felt that a break would be good for everyone. While the singer focused his energy on the band High Parasite, releasing their debut album, "Forever We Burn" in September of last year, My Dying Bride recruited Swallow The Sun vocalist Mikko Kotamäki to fill in and have just completed an Asian tour. There is currently no word on whether Kotamäki will become a full time member of the group, while High Parasite will be supporting fellow Yorkshiremen Paradise Lost on their upcoming UK tour dates.
