Dethklok, Shadows Fall on Guitar Hero Metal Pack
In case you missed it, the latest Guitar Hero metal pack that came out last week features new songs from three well-known metal bands: Shadows Fall, Amon Amarth, and Dethklok, stars of the Adult Swim series Metalocalypse. Players can thrash along to "Still I Rise," a track of Shadows Fall's sixth studio album, "Retribution," "Twilight of the Thunder God" off Amon Amarth's seventh studio album similarly titled, "Twilight of the Thunder God," and "Laser Canon Deth Sentence" off Dethklok's second full-length album, "Dethalbum II."

The organizers of the Rockstar Energy Mayhem festival have announced another blockbuster lineup for the third edition of the travelling hard rock and metal event, including co-headlining performances from shock rock rocker Rob Zombie and nu-metal pioneers Korn. Shadows Fall Announces Canadian Tour
Shadows Fall has issued the following update about a headlining Canadian tour:
"We are very excited to finally be heading to Canada for a full headlining tour!! We look forward to rocking with all the metalheads in the great white north and sharing a few extra strong beers with you all!!
"The tour starts on Wednesday February 24th in Calgary, Alberta. Support on the tour will come from Bison B.C. and Baptized in Blood. Special guest Goatwhore will be on the first six west coast dates only. We will also be playing a headlining show before crossing the border to the Great White North. The show is in Spokane, WA at The Knitting Factory and support will come from Bison BC, Baptized in Blood and Goatwhore. A list of the dates can be found below."

Shadows Fall Announces Winter U.S. Tour
Shadows Fall has issued the following statement about planning a 2010 winter tour alongside Five Finger Death Punch, Throwdown, and 2 Cents:
"Today, Shadows Fall is pleased to announce their upcoming 2010 US Winter tour. Shadows Fall will be on the road January 21 through February 20, 2010 with Five Finger Death Punch, Throwdown, and 2 Cents. This tour will be everything you expect and more out of a hard hitting metal show and as an added bonus for the ladies, the first 100 women to line up at each show will get in absolutely free. Tickets will be going on sale this weekend.
"Shadows Fall tour this past fall was one of the most successful hard rock tours of the season and they have another amazing run scheduled for this winter as they are going out with Five Finger Death Punch and 2 Cents for a second time. In addition one of metal’s most exciting melodic bands, Throwdown, has been added into the mix. Make sure to catch what is going to be on the hottest tours this winter!"

Shadows Fall Cancels Holiday Show
Shadows Fall have announced that their previously scheduled home town holiday show on December 26th, 2009 has been canceled. The band listed unforeseen family commitments as the reason for the cancellation. Tickets can be refunded at the point of purchase.
High On Fire Announces Australian Tour
High On Fire has announced December, 2009 Australian tour dates alongside Lamb of God. The bands will join forces beginning December 11 in Brisbane as part of a touring bill that will also include Devildriver and Shadows Fall.
High On Fire's fifth studio album and follow-up to 2007’s "Death is This Communion" is currently nearing completion. The band worked with producer Greg Fidelman (Metallica, Slayer, Johnny Cash) at Los Angeles’ The Pass Studios with the goal of capturing “the ultimate High on Fire experience.” The album is slated for a January 23, 2010 release via E1 Music.
