Shadows Fall is currently streaming a cover version of the song "Bark At The Moon" by Ozzy Osbourne. The cover track can be heard via Shadows Fall's official MySpace page. The guitars aren't "out of tune", they're in just in a lower tuning than the original. As for the vocals being awful, well that just comes down to personal preference, so I won't fault you for that haha.
Why would they cover this song? I dunno, maybe for this little thing called "fun"?
I think it sounds pretty good, but it sounded even better when I saw them live a couple weeks ago.
I might be coming off as a little fanyboy-ish here, but I swear I'm not. There were just some rather silly statements on these comments I didn't want to ignore.

Ha Ha! Really? 'Bark At The Moon'? Well as long as they don't do a cover of 'Crazy Train'. That's one of those songs you're NOT supposed to touch.
For examples:
'Another Brick In The Wall' - KoRn
'Master Of Puppets' - Trivium
'Crazy Train' - Bullet For My Valentine
etc.
