I hate attempts to rehash something that was perfect to start with. If you want to cover something, cover something that can be improved upon! Bark At The Moon is a total classic in its originol production. Improve upon Randy Rhodes? Come on! You can never improve upon that. Take up some LOUSY song and make it worthwhile!
I'm with Boltthrower.
The Abscence took Testament's "Into the Pit", and made an awesome song out of it. The original had too sh**ty of a production value to be even considered seriously, at least to me. the addition of screamed vocals and heavier use of double-bass made the song badass
This is just bad though. Not terrible, it's just the fact that they did nothing to improve on the song, and technically, did a worse version of it anyway.
I just dont like it. At least Killswitch updated Holy Diver for contemporary metalheads with screaming. Shadows fall should have done that the whole song. His singing just doesnt work for this song.
