^Bruno, look for a 6'7 250lb 33yr old honkey in the pit wearing a pittsburgh penguins hat or beanie at that show, cause thatll be me
All you korn haters feel free to leave the show early, dont let the door hit you on the azz on the way out, i know theyre not the band they were but i dont give a fahq..
^Crawford, 99% of the time i LOL to your posts, but not today, you struck a nerve with your korn bashing and of the magic ghost man, but ill go lite on you, to quote the street ball legend sidney dean, "your mutha s an astronaut"
I ve seen all these bands, except rob zombie which i m psyched to see, havent seen anything on AILD or white chapel joining the tour but that would help....short story long, an average bill
God damnit, no BC dates again this year! Instead, the closest to me is Auburn...a sh**ty little town in the middle of nowhere Washington. *sigh* I made the trip to Auburn last year...but with the amount of border patrol harassment we received (and have received on every trip down to the states for that matter) I vowed never to travel by land to the states again.

Love the main stage. I'm a huge Korn and Lamb of God fan, Five Finger is awesome, and Rob Zombie has a great show as long as its at night with the lights and pyro. The Jager stage is downright insane with Hatebreed, Chimaira, & SF with Winds of Gay being an exception. The other second stage is worthless garbage just like the Hot Topic stage of the first year. Still, will for sure be attending the show just like the first two. STAY METAL MY FRIENDS!
Now Playing: "Blood For Blood" by Machine Head

Bruno huge fan of hockey..pens and ducks, btw i live out in redlands ca....and im not looking forward to the game tonite cause the pens dfense looks slow and gassed...against the flyers last week they looked awful....we ll lose tonite, gotta make a couple trades...have good day bro
^B12 long time no hear, life better in Pa for you within the last few months? I know you were kinda struggling there for a moment...what s your beef with the pirates? Cause there a sh!tty runned, losing of an organization the past 31 years and gives the city of pittsburg a black eye?...i root for them but its frustrating.....cheers guys
i really dont care for these festival shows. you dont get much time with your favorite bands and it is about 120 degrees here during that time. add to the moshing on blacktop and its about 130 degrees. it rather sucks when your drinking crown royal as soon as you get there. but i may have to go so i can see lamb of god this year. rob zombie will be cool too i have not seen him yet but i will getthe hell out of there when korn takes the stage.
rtb-\m/
crawford-....weve done this same song and dance before. u r such a loser, ur homophobic problems need not b shared all the time. i believe u propably a closet gay aswell a closet korn fan. so in that case only is ur post 7 accurate. bash me all u want, clearly im a korn fan...being a korn fan doesnt make me a homo, nor does it mean im only into korn, i personally like a ton of other sh** other than korn. now fvck off.
RTB- True, the Pens barely got that victory over the Islanders the other night. They still are a good team and hopefully they are just getting all the bad hockey out before the playoffs start up. Tonite I will be watching Ducks versus Sharks, though- Anaheim is hot and is hungry for that number 8 spot. You have a good day as well bro!
AGENT- These festival shows are a blast! I have been to every Mayhemfest, Gigantour, SOTU, and quite a few Ozzfests. Personally I love the fests because you basically have the right to do whatever you want. What I have always done at the festivals is pick the 2-5 bands I want to see, party all day in the parking lot and tear sh** up when the bands I am familiar with take the stage. /m\
rtb- naa mang ima watch the leafs vs tampa tonight, ill flick inbetween the pens caps game though, but id have to say go caps :s lol no need for apologies though man it was actually frenglish lol so i dont expect many to understand me lol
4string- u may b right about tonight, i wonder how agressive hell be.
I am very, very happy with this lineup. After last year i thought this year would take a step down but this is great... Alot of ppl say bad things about Korn, but i have heard nothing but good things about their live performances and i cant wait to see them for the 1st time. All 4 of the mainstage bands put on a great show, most of the 2nd stage are quality bands excluding a couple.. and with In This Moment at least the lead singer is hot, lol
This tour is f***ing wack.
Lamb of god makes up for the fact that 5fdp is there.
Rob Zombie makes up for Korn
Shadows fall makes up Chimaira
and 3 inches of blood make sup for Atreyu and In this moment all by themselves.
Unfortunately, that leaves Norma Jean.
Only Slayer could make up for Norma Jean, and they arent on this bill, so f*** it.
Holding hopes up for Ozzfest's line-up. :P
THIS would b my list for one EPIC a$$ MAYHEM \m/
lamb of god (should be MAIN headliner)
in flames (instead of korn)
zombie (OR manson again, but i rlly don't care much, seen them both alrdy)
as i lay dying (instead of 5FDP)
atreyu
august burns red (instead of norma jean)
nightrage OR mastodon again (instead of 3 inches of blood)
devildriver (instead of in this moment)
hatebreed
shadows fall
heaven shall burn (instead of chimaira)
gojira (instead of winds of plague)
anyone agree with me??
#81, this is what I think :) \m/
Lamb Of God (should be MAIN headliner)
Slipknot (oh I can hear the cries of uproar)
Gojira!!!!!!!!!!!!
Arch Enemy (instead of 5FDP)
Atreyu (I agree they really shouldn't be Mayhem, but I don't care to be honest lol)
AILD (instead of norma jean)
Bodom (instead of 3 inches of blood)
DevilDriver (instead of in this moment)
Opeth (for Hatebreed)
Shadows Fall
Heaven Shall Burn (instead of chimaira)
In Flames (instead of winds of plague)
^^^ lol awsome. soo basically, we're both somewhat on the same pg. instead switch slipknot and in flames lol let slipknot open up for all of mayhemi say then let the real metal begin, afterwards \m/
btw, in ur profile u say ur top 5 when rlly u have 6 listed lol. i'm not bashing, i'm just pointing out an obvious and simple and innocent lil mistake.
esoteric surgery \m/
#86, lol I must have been stoned when I did that, all fixed.
Well I think Slipknot is still heavier than Manson/Korn/Zombie and other previous headliners regardless of how much more mainstream and toned down they've become since the early days. I just put Slipknot up there because they put on one of the best live shows I've ever seen...and I've seen quite a few. However, I will admit I prefer old Slipknot and can see why people are disappointed in them.

Yo dragon cleaner, no sh!t about the goat curse/cubs...but because the hawks havent done sh!t in about 70 years it goes with the territory....and get a sense of humor dude, no wonder your so bitter, probably more so when san jose punks you in the playoffs, if u werent such a jerk i d wish you luck, i guess those couple of seasons of having milton bradley, rubbed off on you....
Long live steve bartman and goatsmilk just for you dc.....get a sense of humor huh

First of korn did there's they need to give up they had there's they just aren't what im looking for anymore. Second almost all these bands are comeplete mainstream butt rock ecp,3IOB, LoG, (which honestly I wouldn't want on there) and Winds othere then those three this show blows
My Line up
Slayer (again Mainstage)
After The Burial
All Shall Perish
Born Of Osiris
The Acacia Strain
Veil Of Maya
3 Inches Of Blood
Winds Of Plague
That's for main and 2nd Stage then you butt rock lovers can have your hot topic stage some where completely away from us

You guys are f***in' crazy! I'm a fan of all of these bands except the worst 3 on the bottom of the list but this is way better than the overall lineups of the last 2 Mayhems and the last few Ozzfests. Anybody who hates the Rob Zombies and Korns of the music scene is not a true metal head. People who only support underground or unsigned independent music are the saddest and most pathetic losers on this earth next to rednecks, pedafiles, and racists. Please open your closed minds and shut your open mouths!

By the way ozzfest will have a tough time even coming close to this lineup almost all the good bands are at Mayhem this year. They're gonna need Slipknot, DevilDriver, a System of a Down reunion ,Ozzy, and Unearth for mainstage just to keep up and then a couple more stages of awesome bands to have a chance . I'd say As I Lay Dying, Killswitch, August Burns Red, Sevendust, Carnifex, Ill Nino, Fear Factory for starters or some combination thereof. Better f***in' announce something even a rumored lineup would suffice for now only thing I've heard so far is Slipknot.

f***_A_Name you are the gayest person on this thread! I can handle people bashing some of the other bands at times but knocking on Chimaira is a big f***in' no no. I doubt anybody on this website who has ever really listened to them or ever seen them live would think they suck. That is a metal line not to cross almost like saying Metallica isn't big or Ozzy hasn't done anything for our genre, or Slayer is weak. Get your head on straight fag.
i'm rlly not liking the vibe dhughes is giving off on this thread, even tho he did mention SOME bands that i like. i'm with him on the "People who only support underground or unsigned independent music are the saddest and most pathetic losers on this earth" but then he looses me on the word "pedafiles" (which is misspelled btw) and i (and quite possibly everyone here) STRONGLY disagrees with his statement "Anybody who hates the Rob Zombies and Korns of the music scene is not a true metal head."
I honestly feel bad about goin to Mayhem last year just because of how terrible it is this year. Honestly, how do you go from the greatest band in the world(Slayer) to f***ing Korn? I mean last year had sh**ty bands too(Whitechapel, Black Dahlia Murder, Job for A Cowboy, etc.) but all of this year is sh**.
#97, I went to last years Mayhem and to be honest Slayer was my least favorite main stage band. I just don't care for thrash metal, but that's just me. What I'm trying to say is that not everyone thinks Slayer is the greatest thing on earth, although most people on this website seem to think so lol. BFMV and KSE put on great shows too. Despite what people say about those bands they play well live. I found Manson's performance to be the weakest, he sounded really f***ed up on drugs. (shocker!)
Ozzfest 2010 wish lineup

Main stage is a bit unrealistic but hey it would be awesome! \m/
esoteric surgery: i continue what ur saying kuz i like kse and bullet, and they r awesome live. also i too am not vry fond of thrash nor do i care for slayer and i didn't like their performance last yr. i nvr knew when one song ended and the next began. soo i just left to go eat something during their performance and saw manson and he did pretty good.
i'm not THAT too shocked about this yr's lineup kuz every yr there's always only a couple that i actually like (this yr being hatebreed, shadows fall, atreyu, and log, even tho i don't mind staying for zombie and korn) kuz mayhem mixes alotta of the diff subgenres of metal and extreme rock but even for that, this yr rlly outdid itself. norma jean especially and atreyu (even tho i like atreyu) don't belong there.
demoncleaner & theonlyone : kick a$$ lineups u guys got there \m/
#108, lol yeah I did too man. I sat in the beer garden for Slayer. I ended up getting really hammered and wondering if their set would ever end. I couldn't tell which songs were which either, it all sounds the same to me.
I'm going for the same bands, minus hatebreed and replace them with 5FDP. Atreyu, Shadows Fall, Chimaira, and 5FDP are all awesome in their own right...but really all I care about seeing is LoG one more time. Saw them on the No Fear Tour with Bodom and AILD and they are simply amazing. I wish Mayhem was just a repeat of that tour lol Bodom and AILD rocked the house hard too :) \m/
deathfreak: it's just a matter of opinion man. no need to get loud.
esoteric surgery: i now hate u for going to the vry concert that i tried soo hard to go to last yr. that's awesome that it was an amazing show and u just raised my expectations of LoG at this yr.'s mayhem even more lol as for u liking 5FDP over hatebreed, i might not completely understand that, but hey, whatever tickles ur pickle man. i, for one, saw them live and they're pretty good live but nothing that too special and i think they're just mediocre and generic. IMO they're the poster boys (mainstream friendly) of "metal". and i just like hatebreed kuz they're pretty brutal even tho they've been disappointing me for the last 2 albums now plus that monotone vocals does get to me after awhile. then again, alotta hardcore metal bands all sound the same rlly =\
#111, "plus that monotone vocals does get to me after awhile. then again, alotta hardcore metal bands all sound the same rlly =\"
Couldn't have said it better myself bro. It's not that I don't respect bands like Hatebreed, Cannibal Corpse, etc etc but I can only listen to one song before I get sick of it because it all sounds exactly the same to me. I like bands like 5FDP and AILD etc. because they do a good job of mixing in clean vocals. The songs are constantly switching it up it's not just the same sound for the entire song. IMO, no one likes an emo whiner who talks about broken hearts all the time... BUT to have a few songs (not the majority) dealing with these topics is just fine to me. It shows diversity. I'm not going to listen to a band like Cannibal Corpse where every single song is about hacking someone into pieces or whatever. However, if I wanted to hear a song about that I would admit they're the best band in the world to do that.
esoteric surgery: bro r u adopted or something?? i can't agree with everything u've just said even more. we must b in tuned to the same brain wavelengths or some sh** lol i love clean vox mixed in w/ screaming vox, which is y i f***ing love melodic metal and quite a few metalcore bands, such as aild like u mentioned. diversity is extremely important to me, but with a theme, or at least a domain to b under. perfect example is ur icon, gojira, their songs derive from being fast & heavy, to a bit slower & heavy like "vacuity", and bitterly long but epic like "ocean planet" to an actually nice & slow song like "from mars" but they ALL flow amazingly. diversity = amazing music ALWAYS (if done rite) the gods of that IMO r my personal fav (of all time) NIN.
#113, lol no sadly I'm not. But, we can be brothers from other mothers. haha yeah I like NIN, not as much as you but I loved them when I saw them here last year. IMO Tool is the greatest of all time for diversity. Gojira does a fantastic job, and are my favorite band easily, but Tool are the masters of diversity. IMO of course. f*** I really need to see Tool live...if I can do that somehow I will have seen every single band I've ever wanted to see, and can then die a happy man. \m/
PRESIDENT RTB: "eveybody keep drinking" \m/ lol
esoteric surgery: i'll ask my mom if i'm adopted then lol funny u mentioned tool, kuz since i didn't know if u liked them (who doesn't tho lol) i didn't wanna use them as an example, but f*** yeah they r the masters of diversity (also). ironically, i too, have yet to see them live, sadly. i would absolutely LOVE to, of course, but, i guess, someday =\ at least i've seen gojira live and my jaw dropped to the f***ing floor due to the pure FACT of how f***ing amazingly AWESOME they were!! i'd say the same about seeing tool then dying happy but there's still WAY to many other bands that i also wanna see before i go bro lol
#125, any tour that's sponsored (in turn out to make money...more so than non-sponsored events like black metal festivals) won't have 15-20 bands that are exactly the same sound/genre that appeal to you. They're trying to appeal to a broad audience. While I don't care for commercialism...I can't say I blame them for having Korn and Zombie headline. I don't care for either of the main headliners...but there are some great bands attending (LoG, Chimaira etc). You're not going to get a big tour where you like every single band. Just do what I did during Slayer last Mayhem fest and hit up the beer garden. Just make sure to sneak a flask in your waist line unless you want to place a second mortgage on your house to drink sh**ty beer.
^^^ or give up ur 1st born. also esoteric surgery, the concert that i mentioned seeing gojira was the atr and in flames concert LMAO i f***ing LOVE in flames!!! their quite possibly my fav band currently, besides NIN. i didn't get to see atr kuz the singer was sick or some sh**, and i also saw 36 crazyfists, which i like alot too. but i've seen atr twice alrdy soo i didn't mind. but yeah gojira + in flames was the vry definition of f***ing epic lol
RTB: give ur review whenever u can afterwards and then we can argue, i mean "discuss" about our opinions on which bands did how.
RTB: as esoteric surgery said, "well said brother!!" indeed, but i'll have to say that i don't TOTALLY agree with u kuz as i may still just be a fan of the OLD korn, mudvayne, linkin park and soo on (typically nu metal bands obviously), i've just simply lost interest in those bands with their newer material. but then again, bands like heaven shall burn, devildriver, gojira, tool, lostprophets, august burns red, etc., have created much better music with their newer material. also, might i add, to the 100% truth of ur statement that "korn hasnt made a decent lp since untouchables", is VRY factual.
#132, I agree and disagree :) I LOVE Tool's older material just as much as the newer stuff, and I actually prefer old DevilDriver to new. Having said that, one can clearly see all of those bands you mentioned have become more rounded and refined. Not so "rough around the edges" for lack of a better analogy. Gojira is a perfect example. I don't even like the first two albums lol I would also agree with the statement about Korn, LP, Mudvayne etc. I would still say I'm a fan...but the new material is less than appealing to me. One of the hardest bands to stick with for me has been Atreyu. Lead Sails was the biggest pile of sh** (except Slow Burn <3). The new album has mixed old Atreyu with new Atreyu fairly well.
Esoteric- I would definitely agree that Gojira has progressed forward with each album, with Way of the Flesh being their most successful to date. On the other hand how can you not even like The Link or Terra Incognita? Sure they might not be as focused or as heavy as Mars/WOAF but it's still bad f***ing a$$ Gojira man! It's cool to listen to those albums and hear how their sound has moved forward. With you being a fan I'd suggest you go back and give the first two cd's a chance. Totally Brutal \m/
^^^ naw man i just can't. mars and flesh r just such f***ing masterpieces. and esoteric, funny u mentioned atreyu, kuz i love them man but i rlly don't like their older stuff that to much. it's just that disgusting screaming that sounds like alex is puking bro but i love it when brian sings, he kickass. i still like the curse and deathgrip but i f***ing love lead sails and congregation. the whiny but harmonized guitar work, the awesome sometimes dark melodies, the almost hallow sounding drumming, the inspiring lyrix, man, their just awesome and at least imo, ever getting better and better as r heaven shall burn. iconoclast was just the f***ing cherry and sprinkles on their reign of heavy metalness of epic proportions after the whipped that was deaf to our prayers which was after the chocolate ice cream of antigone. those lyrix that just strike ur heart on arrows, the anthemical demonically possessed voice the pierces ur ears like lightning strikes, those thunderous almost earth quaking blastbeats and the war like guitar dualing all just clashing perfecting into one of the best metal albums i've ever heard that is iconoclast.
#136, that's all I play when I'm at work now. I f***ing love heaven shall burn dude!!! AS for Atreyu, his name is Brandon Saller (not Brian :S). He is amazing...plus he shares the same first name as me (double cool points). lol yeah the early Atreyu days were very rough around the edges (ie: talentless vocals). Alex admits to it though and he keeps getting better. I admire them for their honesty, except Lead Sails. It was too pop inspired/money driven and not enough raw Atreyu emotion. Congregation is MILES better. Anyways that's my stoned rant of the evening...always a pleasure NH. peace

Lamb of God destroys places.....Rob Zombie has the best stage show ive ever seen.....and Korn headlines but they just jump around like monkeys......looks like ill be leavin early again this year lol
