Dragonforce Playing 70,000 Tons Of Metal
The organizers of the 70,000 Tons of Metal Cruise have issued the following announcement about confirming Dragonforce for the 2013 edition:
"After a short visit to the host city of the 2012 Olympic Games, London, they are now sailing under Dragonforce through The Channel. Their Course: West-Southwest.

Ensiferum Comments On Upcoming Album
Folk metal warriors Ensiferum will release their brand new opus to North American fans late this Summer through Spinefarm Records. Titled "Unsung Heroes," the band’s fifth studio offering is over an hour long and sees the Finnish five-piece pushing their signature sound to bold new heights of drama and excess.
A cinematic experience from beginning to end, "Unsung Heroes" includes the 16-plus minute track “Passion Proof Power” showing that when it comes to epic statements, Ensiferum is very much at the frontlines, swords in hand. Produced by Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, Sentenced, Apocalyptica), the album features artwork by Kristian Wahlin and a medley of special guests including members of Die Apokalyptischen Reiter plus legendary Finnish singer/actor, Vesa-Matti Loiri.
Comments bassist Sammi Hinka of Unsung Heroes: “On this album we pushed the boundaries of the key elements that make Ensiferum's music what it is and really took our music to another level. Crushing metal combined with majestic and beautiful folk and orchestration parts make this album something really unique in the whole genre!”

Ensiferum will be releasing the new album "Unsung Heroes" on August 27th, 2012 through Spinefarm Records. The group has now checked in with the following announcement about new Finnish tour dates in September:

Finnish blackened folk lords Ensiferum announced that the band's fifth studio album will be entitled "Unsung Heroes." The album is due for release on August 27, 2012 through Spinefarm Records.
The album was produced by Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, Sentenced, Apocalyptica), and will clock in at an hour plus.
A cinematic experience from first note to last, "Unsung Heroes" takes the listener on a journey of genuine light & shade, with the 16 minute-plus "Passion Proof Power" showing that when it comes to the epic statement, Ensiferum are very much in the front-line, swords at the ready.
The band commented on the album: “We’ve tried to push the different aspects of what we do as far as we can. The sonic scope is wider than ever. The folk elements go further down that path and the metallic parts will absolutely rip your face off!”

Finland's Ensiferum has announced the dates for the "Bearers of the Sword 2012" tour, which can be found below. The following press release was also issued:

Limp Bizkit To Headline Graspop 2012
American nu metal veterans Limp Bizkit have been confirmed as the final headliner for this year's edition of Belgiums largest heavy metal festival, Graspop Metal Meeting. Also newly confirmed for the festival are Behemoth, Black Label Society, Godsmack, Slash and All Shall Perish, while the organisers have also announced that Young Guns and Lagwagon have pulled out of the event. Guns N Roses Confirmed For Graspop 2012
The organisers of Belgium's largest heavy metal festival, Graspop Metal Meeting, have announced that American rock legends Guns N Roses will be wrapping the festival up this year, as they will be headlining the event on Sunday 24th. The organisers have also announced that As I Lay Dying has had to pull out of the festival after cancelling their European tour, but also confirmed that Cannibal Corpse, Machine Head, Gotthard, Adrenaline Mob, Sebastian Bach, Black Veil Brides and The Treatment will perform at the festival. Graspop Metal Meeting will take place in Dessel, Belgium from June 22nd - 24th and will feature the following lineup, with more to be announced shortly:

The organisers of Belgium's largest heavy metal festival, Graspop Metal Meeting, has announced a further five bands for this year's edition of the event.
