Hideous Divinity Releases New Single
Italian technical death metal heavyweights Hideous Divinity have unveiled "Chestburst" - the second brutal single from their forthcoming EP, "LV-426," set for release via Century Media Records on April 23rd. A visualizer video, based on the astonishing album art, can be seen below.
The band commented on "Chestburst," saying: "That persistent beat in James Horner's 'Face Huggers' theme from the movie score... it all starts there. If 'Acheron Stream Of Woe' is the epic theme, then 'Chestburst' is the crazy fast escape tune; it’s the soundtrack of alien drones hunting the Colonial Marine squad. And no, there's no happy ending."
The concept of the LV-426 EP is a sub-narrative of the second Alien movie, directed by James Cameron. Hideous Divinity states, "We chose to concentrate on the story of Rebecca ‘Newt’ Jorden, the six-year old girl rescued on the alien infested planetoid LV-426 by Ellen Ripley. We live the story from her point of view, a mixture of childhood’s happy life and memories cut off by the alien attack."
The EP includes two brand new Hideous Divinity tracks ("Acheron, Stream Of Woe" & "Chestburst") and a smashing tech-death cover version of Coheed And Cambria’s "Delirium Trigger." Like its predecessor Simulacrum, the EP was produced by Stefan Morabito at 16th Cellar Studio, where he refined the band's signature sound consisting of bone-crushing riffs, superb drumming, and frightful vocals. Also, the EP features a stunning Alien-themed artwork by Colin Estrada. More...

Hideous Divinity Posts New Song
With the release of "Adveniens," the new long player from Italian death metal legion Hideous Divinity, drawing closer to release, today the "Sub Specie Aeternitatis" track is offered for public consumption.
Elaborates guitarist Enrico Schettino of the track: "Sometimes when you write music, or when you listen to music, you're blessed with a feeling that may last just a couple of seconds. The feeling that Baruch Spinoza would have called a view from the perspective of the eternal, in Latin is 'Sub Specie Aeternitatis.'
"It's like our Angelus Novus, becoming one with God and experiencing the truth of what's first for nature. The nature speaks to the poet, and the poet becomes historian. Here's an ode to the poet, to the world, and its fumy remains. Here's another violent reflection on art, using the only language Hideous Divinity knows." More...
Hideous Divinity Streams "Angel Of Revolution"
Next month, Italian death metal unit Hideous Divinity, which features within its ranks current and former members of Hour Of Penance and Aborted, will unleash the "Adveniens" full-length album via Unique Leader.
In advance of its release, the band has unveiled "Angel Of Revolution" for communal
dissection. Elaborates guitarist Enrico Schettino of the track:
"Where did all this come from? Anger and frustration. Time was running out, recording sessions were approaching, and still, something was missing. The Riff was not there. Yet. Hours were spent listening, relistening, writing, and rewriting, and nothing. Almost giving up, it came. The Riff. Straight, simple, impulsive.
"The rest was easy: Stefano [Franceschini] came along with his punishing bassline and [vocalist] Enrico H. with the lyrics, one of his most memorable entrances ever. Listen to it: You will notice something different. Peculiar. What you hear is A Note. Ladies and gentlemen, here's 'Angel Of Revolution," the straight-to-the-face smasher of the album."
Slated for release on April 28th, the follow-up to previous "Cobra Verde" long player was recorded, mixed and mastered at Stefano Morabito's 16th Cellar Studio (Hour Of Penance, Fleshgod Apocalypse etc.) during the Autumn of 2016. More...
