Powerman 5000 To Tour With Orgy

Electronic, alternative, industrial, rock... whatever you want to label them, Orgy remains steadfast to one principle: giving fans the absolute best. While the band has been on the road touring non-stop for the past few years, Orgy mastermind Jay Gordon & co. have been working tirelessly behind-the-scenes to put together a brand new full-length album, set to release this year.

"I don't wanna fuck with a record, Orgy or other, unless the record is the shit. This means more time, but the result is usually worth the wait, and hopefully our fans will agree with our new album," divulges Jay Gordon. "I feel there is a lot of life left in Orgy. I'm really excited about the tweaks that have been made and the new members, and I actually have chemistry with them and it shows on the record."

To kick off the new year, Orgy will take part in the "Set to Stun" tour, beginning with a first leg in North America. The first leg will be co-headlining with Powerman 5000, with support from special guests Death Valley High and Knee High Fox.

The tour begins in Sioux Falls, SD on January 4th, hitting several major markets for a month and closing in Sacramento, CA on February 3rd. More dates will be added. For now, these dates are confirmed: More...

I’ve got the best band behind me that I’ve ever had, and I am very excited to round out the year with a co-headline tour with Powerman 5000. It’s another 15th anniversary tour! It’s a testament to both bands that we are both still going strong and the timing is perfect for us to tour together again. I am equally excited to share the stage with American Head Charge again. I believe it was 2005 when we toured together last. This is a great line up and this tour is gonna kill!" More...

Powerman 5000 Releases New Music Video

Powerman 5000 and Yahoo! Music have teamed up to launch the band's new music video for "How To Be A Human," taken from the recently released, "Builders Of The Future." Check it out below or at Yahoo! Music here.

"The video for 'How To Be A Human' is a departure for us," band leader, visionary and sole remaining original member, Spider One, told Yahoo!. "In the past, our videos have been big, over the top productions. This time, it was fun for us to show the band as a band. Just kind of rocking out!

"Although, conceptually it's not that simple. I look at this video as a propaganda film from another planet. An instructional video for how to be a human. It's a visual representation of how insane we would appear to be to an alien race."

You can stream the entire new album "Builders Of The Future" by heading over to this location.

"I never would have imagined that after all the albums, the band members, the ups-and-downs of the always changing music business, I'd still be here doing this, which is thanks to our most diehard fans," marvels Spider One, who founded Powerman 5000 with a 4-track and a drum machine.

"We've replanted our flag as the weird, sci-fi, electronic band. This is what we are. This is what we do best. This is clearly what people like from us the most, too. So I'm going to love it like they love it. We're back. The fan base has really rallied around us again. The enthusiasm feels like it's picked right up from the year 2000. The electronic-metal-dance thing, we've locked it down once and for all with this one." More...
