Words Of Farewell Releases New Music Video
German melodic death metal act Words of Farewell released a new music video for the track "Continuum Shift." The song is the opening track off of the band's sophomore full length and latest album "The Black Wild Yonder," which is available now through AFM Records.
The vide includes footage from this year's installment of the RockHarz festival 2014. It was produced by Mirko Witzki with camera assistance by Patrick Siegels. Check it out here:
Words Of Farewell Splits With Guitarist
German melodic death metal act Words of Farewell announced the departure of guitarist Henrik Tschierschky, due to time constraints of job and university occupations. Tschierschky joined the band in 2011 and appeared on both the debut "Immersion" and the sophomore album "The Black Wild Yonder," which was just issued this past February via AFM Records. The fill in guitarist for live performances will be Robin Dirks (Victims of Prejudice) as the band seeks a permanent replacement.
The announcement reads: "We are sad to announce that we've recently split ways with guitarist Henrik Tschierschky who will no longer be with us due to time constraints resulting from job and university occupations. We had a blast playing with him, hanging out with him, and do wish him all the best for his future endeavors.
"Currently Robin Dirks (Ex Master Splinter & Victims of Prejudice) is filling in. But for geographical reasons we are still looking for a full time member for the slot.
"So if you feel like you're up for the task and live nearby Marl, NRW, hit us up for more information on how to audition for the slot." More...

Words Of Farewell Posts Studio Update On Second LP
German melodic death metal act Words of Farewell, posted an update on the recordings of the second full length album and follow up to the 2012 AFM Records debut "Immersion." The untitled album is slated for a 2014 release.
The band posted this short update with photo: "Alex [Otto] listening to his vocal recordings in the studio, looking for things to improve. We're almost done and the record already sounds really impressive, even without any mixing."

Words Of Farewell Album Coming To North America
German progressive death metal division Words of Farewell will celebrate the North American release of debut full-length "Immersion" via AFM Records, following its European release in March.
Following two small releases in 2008, the band lay silent release-wise until now, having spent an incredible amount of time over the past few years writing, rehearsing, and perfecting the songs that would become this first album. The following press release was also issued:
"In January Words of Farewell signed with AFM Records for the release of their debut masterpiece. Bringing to mind acts like Dark Tranquillity, Scar Symmetry or Insomnium at times, Immersion is a piece of work that displays international class, with early European media referring to the release as one of the most exciting metal debuts to emerge from the German scene. Now with Immersion becoming readily available to an entire new fanbase in North America this is just the beginning for this young, dedicated act."
