J.D. Overdrive has released a new music video for "Shadow of the Beast," which can be viewed below. The band also comments:

"Time for another video, people! This time we just mashed up together several scenes from some old-school horror movies. The inspiration came from Vagitarians and Deftones – both bands did a similar thing and we can see why - it's definitely cheaper that way... But in all seriousness, the result ain't bad at all! Check out our video for 'Shadow of the Beast' - the longest track on our new album – below!"

J.D. Overdrive Posts New Music Video

Polish act J.D. Overdrive posted a new music video for the track "Funeral Stopper." The song appears on the band's second LP "Fortune Favors the Brave," which is scheduled for release on May 27th (EU) and July 2nd (USA) via Metal Mind Productions.

Guitarist Michal "Stempel" Stemplowski commented on the video: "The good old MTV doesn’t exists anymore so some people see no point in making a video clip. But not us. You can upload your music along with a video on the internet almost on the go so why shouldn’t we use that tool? We decided to shoot a video for the track ‘Funeral Stopper’, which is a killer track at our gigs. Apart from standard band shots, it features a short story of a guy led by us through the forest with a bag on his head and bound hands. The presence of shovels and a baseball bat on the set was not accidental! And, apparently, some people didn’t find it very funny… we realized this when some very serious-looking policemen got on the set shouting ‘Drop it right now!’ Someone must have called the police! Luckily, no one was hurt and the policemen let us finish the recording of the video." More...

J.D. Overdrive Issues Album Update

Polish act J.D Overdrive has issued the following year-end recap and update about working on a new album:

"The Mayans were wrong, what a surprise! OK, since we're not going anywhere just yet, we thought we'd do a little sum up of the last twelve months. We have quite a successful year behind us, lots of awesome gigs, including supporting Soulfly and Tim 'Ripper' Owens in Warsaw, a mini-tour with Anti Tank Nun, performances at Rock Stars Festival, River of Booze, Radio Revolta Fest, the return of the Night of the Living Rock 'brand'... Happy happy joy joy.

"The New Year should be exciting as well – at this moment we're almost done with recording guitars for our sophomore album which we hope will get released in the 1st half of 2013. It's gonna be bigger, heavier and better – this we can promise. We're also cooking up quite a surprise in the concert department but shush for now...

"So all in all we'd like to thank everyone who made sure that 2012 was so easy on us. And we'd like to wish everyone a happy holiday and a brutal hangover on January 1st. See you all in 2013!"

"It's a charity event so your ticket will buy something more than a bottle of booze for us! And after that we'll be seeing you in Kultowa in Katowice on a show with Anti Tank Nun!

"This is gonna be interesting since it's our last show with these guys and pretty much our last show this year. The reason for that is simple – we're starting to work hard on recording our sophomore album. Jooras will be entering S-tone Studios in November, then it's time for guitars, bass and vocals. It is on!"

As of 2012 our manager Andrzej Cedzynski will no longer be working with our band. Andrzej, thanks for all the time and effort you put into JDO, may our paths cross again many times in future. We hope to find a worthy replacement soon.
