The organisers of Germany's largest metal festival, Wacken Open Air, have announced in a recent press conference that Norwegian black metal legends Emperor will be reforming to headline the event next year.
This will mark the twenty fifth anniversary of the festival and be held from July 31st - August 2nd in Wacken, Germany.
Emperor members Ihsahn and Samoth both appeared at the press conference to confirm the reformation and answer questions, during which they stated that the band will be performing a number of shows next year, but gave no indication that they were planning to record a new album, which would be their first since the 2001 output, "Prometheus: The Discipline Of Fire And Demise."
Further information will be reported as soon as it becomes available.

Hi,Its sweet but..I did say this possibly would happened just liked I'd NOT be surprised if Skinless,Sentenced maybe n God Dethroned play Wacken next year if only that show n than GO back to calling it fully quits. But..if gonna look into shows in the USA they should look at Maryland Death Fest 2014 n MTL Metal fest happens in Quebec Canada not too far from Montreal Quebec or a west Coast metal fest thinking the one that happens in late May-early June in Austin Texas or the other that happens in San Antanio Texas in late Oct. or mid Nov. most years.

Interesting, I thought Ihsahn had sort of closed that door.
