Well I've got one spin under my belt. Honestly it's exactly what I expected it would be. "New Awakening", "The Call", and "All That We Have" are standing out for me. Also, "Always" really stood out to me because of how different it is from the usual KsE formula. Very good slow/clean song IMO.
Gonna really miss Howard...not gonna lie...but props to Jesse for a great album. Very inspiring lyrics.

I have to say, I expected a hell ov a lot worse than this. I don't necessarily see this as a battle between Howard and Jesse. I originally started listening to Killswitch when Howard had JUST taken over vocal duties. I really got into the guttural sound of the vox Tho, once I got into them, I was rocking Jesse's album just as hard as EOHA from Howard. I liked jesse and appreciated his contributions to the expansion of my metal horizon.
Now, I find Jesse to be better suited to KSE's sound. If you look at the progression of Howard's vocals. feels like the production was enhanced to make his screams sound more vicious, but I could hear the depreciation of the quality of the screams. Either EOHA was better produced than the other and I couldn't figure it out, or the others were just enhanced to make it seem otherwise. Event though I have heard Howard in KSE first and in spite of the fact that he has a better vocal range, I feel Jesse is the all-time hero. A better overall vocalist doesn't mean tailor made for the band he plays with.
Im really excited to see what Howard can come up with in his new project. From the guitar styles, seems pretty badass.
