Manslaughter Trial Begins For Lamb Of God's Randy Blythe

Czech sites Rozhlas.cz and Blesk.cz are reporting that the trial has officially begun for Lamb of God front man Randy Blythe, who was indicted for manslaughter.
The charges stem from a 2010 incident when a 19 year old fan was allegedly pushed off the stage and subsequently died several weeks later. Blythe was previously held in a Czech jail for over a month before being released on bail. He also commented today via Instagram:
"And so it begins. I am calm & prepared. Everyone, thanks for your good thoughts and prayers. Have a nice day, y'all!"

man, that sucks...definitely raise a glass to the hope that he gets home much sooner than later
I never said he wouldn't go, but I certainly said that he shouldn't....don't think I made any xenophobic comments either...but y'all could be talking about someone else
Disparaging comments about the Czech judiciary system and some of the choices made but some of those involved?
Absolutely
Hang in there man \m/

sorry to see the dreadlocks go. All this makes me appreciate my sf warfield dec13 bootleg even more. Trying to be optimistic, but I remember how Buju Banton was set up and found guilty in florida. Video of huge festival crowds probably makes governments jealous/fearful. If anything, it should've been the bassist facing charges. Free Randy! Wearing that Obituary sweatshirt was baddass

Ya, alot of us yankees feel the laws here in the states either are suppose to be or are like that all over the world and if it isnt that country's fvcked up, which is pure anal logic.
Blythes lawyer feels confident with his case and thats good enough for me for now.
We can all come on here and make predictions or call bulsh@t but unless your a czech law expert it does nobody any good and is a waste of time.
He fullfilled his word, good for him, now lets see if the czechs give him any brownie points for that.

Doubtful. I'm sure Randy is going to need time to fully process and rocover from all of this when it's over. His life is almost entirely in the hands of other people at the moment, many of them indifferent or hostile toward him... regardless of the facts of the event itself.
Assuming the best outcome, I'll bet he will have enough lyrical content and bottled up emotional outlet to draw upon for a potent (even defining) double album.

take it easy blindgreed, the fvck I was talking about was only that the third video of the footage I saw appeared to show that when the (drunk?) "fan" had again jumped/lunged onto the stage after hesitation, he may have been introduced to the bass upside his head. Dazed, I do feel it was security staff's fault and that his head hit the rail when he was again ejected from the stage (by the security goon).

I might not recognize him if he walked past me like that. Hope he gets a fair trial and gets through this okay. In other articles I've read, legal experts don't seem to think the known quantities favor the prosecution.
