Warbeast Gearing Up For Tour Dates With Down
Housecore Records thrashers Warbeast are set to head out on tour with Down next week. The band will join the U.S. tour on September 18th in its hometown of Fort Worth, TX and will travel with Down and label mates haarp, along with a few shows with special guests Pentagram and Saint Vitus and othersm until October 2nd in Charlotte, NC.
The band is also pleased to announce upcoming European tour dates with Down. The group will then continue the tour in November with several stops in Germany. Down vocalist Philip Anselmo had some words to add about bringing Warbeast on the road.
“I am extremely pleased we (Down) are bringing the band Warbeast with us to Europe. They are what I'd call 'pure' thrash metal, in a classic Dallas/Ft. Worth style,” states Anselmo. “These guys are tailor made for our brothers and sisters across the pond, and I expect them to fucking kick some almighty ass, and gain a shitload of new fans.”
“This has been a goal for each one of us from our earliest bands and from the inception Warbeast,” states Warbeast vocalist Bruce Corbitt. “Here in the USA, many of us are envious of the European metal scene. So going on a European Tour with our bro's in DOWN is even better than a dream-come-true for us. It honestly feels unreal and surreal that this is actually going to happen. Special thanks to our label Houscecore Records for believing in us in the first place!”

Have I ever mentioned how much I HATE los angeles??? Anyway, an evening with Down at HOB san diego was well worth the excruciating traverse of Cali's biggest sh!thole...superb live performance \m/

Thats a pretty funny story...i saw DD open for gwar about 5 or 6 years ago some guy in the crowd had a sign that said didlodriver...Dez told him to come up on stage so he could legally kick his ass(no way that would fly today after the LOG thing)...then he yelled to the crowd..."we have a cancer here...how do you deal with cancer..CUT IT OUT" and then the mosh pit went crazy...
I don't think xmas is just consumerism...maybe mostly consumerism but i still like the sentiment of "peace on earth and goodwill toward men" which is definitely in short supply on this planet. I also like xmas cookies and peoples silly pictures in embarassing sweaters. I always look forward to its a wonderful life on TV. It hs the best line ever in a movie "We serve hard drinks to men who want to get drunk fast. "

Tremont is a great place to see bands. It has 2 seperate rooms for bands to play. Main area and a secondary stage. Saw Gwar there 2 times of the 3 ive seen them. Mushroomhead, dozens of local band showcases....

Dixie,Clutch is the ultimate jam band! Seen them so many times live. They have almost an insane Greatful Dead type following. As far as Dec.22,im waking up per usual, taking a piss, making coffee. Fvck the Mayans and thier calender. Classic Lemmy,eh? "Is it loud enough for ya? No? Crank it up abit louder(to soundman)" Motorhead:no one like them, they rule! Man,Venoms on my bucket list of bands to see man. But i think its just Cronos and a few no name bandmates now. Wish i could have seen them in the mid 80's,Black Metal or Welcome to Hell tour.
