Yup, unashamed loyalist here. It does sound like filler, though, so you are right. I am expecting more. They're being smart by not releasing any really experimental stuff early on, because change is a risk, if they've changed up anything on this album. They want guaranteed hype, so they went for something traditionally FF and vanilla.
I really like the 2 tunes ive heard from this album, It does sound softer than mechanized (which i thought was f***in great) but i still dig it.
Cant wait to hear the full length im sure there be a few songs with stray from the usual path. Just listen to Final Exit from mechanized that sh**s awesome.
And as for divine heresy, there still going arnt they???? i thought they were just on a hiatus.
BRING ME MORE DINO - MOREEEEE DIVINEEEE HERSY BARRR
Being as this is a concept album, its hard to fully judge the song by itself without hearing how it fits into the context of the rest of the album. The title may suggest that it is setting the stage for something bigger later in the album. I'm intrigued to hear the rest of Burtons' story.
There are 30 sec. clips on Youtube of all the songs.
God Eater seems to be one of the many stand outs.
I don't think it will be as straight forward as Mechanize but I think there will be a lot of layers to it.
That's ok with me, give me something to sink my teeth into.
