Italian hard rock / metal band Lacuna Coil has announced the band's new album will be titled "Dark Adrenaline." The band had previously commented on the upcoming album:

"This time around music has been our refuge from some of the darkest days of our life and that's why the new songs have such a variety of feelings... some stuff is pretty angry, probably the heaviest we've ever written, some other songs are intense, loaded with velvet dark emotions and there's even a little space for some light at the end of the tunnel. People are askin' me if we're going back to our roots or if we're taking another step forward in a new direction... well to be honest I just feel that this is 100% a Lacuna Coil record and that is what really matters to me. I just love the songs and we felt a big wave of inspiration. The energy with Don in the studio is sky-high and we're ready to kick some ass.

"Collectively, we did so much in between 'Shallow life' and this one. We have lots of different experiences between us. We've been loved and hurt, we grew up, we shrunk inside a little keeping ourselves together and our roots watered and are alive. I still can't believe that the energy in between us is getting better and better, but I guess that's what being a real family means."

I really hope this isn't more smoke up my arse. I miss the old Lacuna Coil. Give us something golden like Swamped or Heaven's A Lie.

Please God say they don't release anything like the song "I Like It" and that they either go back to the old sound like " Heavens a Lie" or get way heavier

Got into Lacuna Coil with their last 2 albums. I haven't heard the older stuff but I've heard it's awesome. I'd love to hear "heavier" from them. Don't let me down LC!

"Comalies" was their most coherent effort and the albums prior, while not as fleshed out from start to finish--promised greatness with certain tracks ("To Myself I Turned" and "Falling Again" come to mind). The last two were meh and bad respectively. I'll sample it first...

"Comalies" was a fantastic album. I just couldn't get into the last one... hopefully this time around they get back into the groove.

Am I the only one excited by this? I absolutly *loved* Shallow Life, but I also loved Comalies - I don't really rate Karmacode that highly.

Still...I'll buy it, and I'm sure i'll like it. I know my listeners will.

I think that Dark Adrenaline will be a mix of different songs of their previous albums and I want to believe that there will be great music and not just simple or divine riffs on the guitar. I want somethin special. I think that Dark Adrenaline's songs would be like The Pain and The Ghost Woman ANd The Hunter.. Tight Rope And Wide Awake.. Within ME and Shallow Life.. Veins Of Glass and Unspoken.. The Maze and The Game.. Unchained and Fragile!

btw the cover of Dark Adrenaline is good but not as Karmacode... It's simply like Shallow Life(which one is veryy good!)
I Think that Comalies and In a Reverie are their masterpieces but Karmacode, Shallow Life and Unleashed Memories are awsome too! :D
I think that Distant Sun and Not Enough, Heir Of A Dying Day are some songs example of the new ones!
