Testament Issues Update On Recording New Album

Band Photo: Testament (?)
Bassist Greg Christian of California thrash act Testament has checked in with the following brief update about the band recording a new album:
"Here's an update on the new record: Eric, Gene, Andy and I have been in the studio jammin' on the new songs since last week and today is the last day of preproduction. Gene starts recording the drum tracks tomorrow. It's coming to be, and it's heavy as shit."
Additional details on the new album, which is the follow-up to 2008's "The Formation Of Damnation," will be announced as they are made available.

Thank God we're not waiting another 9 years for this sh**. I remember waiting so many years for The Formation of Damnation to come out, and when it came out, it was an intense comeback. I hope the new album will be as intense as TFOD.
Now Playing: Frank Zappa - Cosmik Debris

Fvck man, am stoked the boys are laying down another round, but am seriously apprehensive about the 'injury' story about Paul...nothing against Hoglan, he's a brilliant skinsman, but I am a MAJOR Bostaph fan
Remember that the aggravation of an old elbow injury of his was used as a cover for him quitting Slayer? Sure, he needed to let it rest, but it wasn't the reason he left...he was just over being essentially a Bombardo puppet
I just hope this ain't a similar deal, and that he heals up and is soon back in the TESTAMENT fold to dominate the fvcking world from his mighty throne
Vinn, I would guess that Skolnick is off indulging one of his self absorbed 'side projects' somewhere at the moment, prima donnas like him don't like to get their fingernails dirty from the hard work of writing and recording the meat of a new record...he'll just float in when its time to slather the frosting on that cake ;)

Your right about Skolnick,HR. Think i read he's off touring with his jazz ensemble. He'll come in and lay down leads when its time. Shouldnt hurt the record,Erics always written the bulk of thier stuff. Big fan of Bostaphs style also, but i think Genes the best temp replacement. Imagine what thier tour rider would like with both Chuck @Gene in the band. Ive met Chuck,he's one big, beastly dude. Genes bigger i think. Formation still gets tons of plays on my system,if the new ones even half is good it'll be great!
