Slipknot Drummer Joey Jordison Joins Rob Zombie Band For Summer Tour

Rob Zombie has revealed that Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison will be behind the drum kit with his band this summer. Zombie commented: "Joey is an absolutely crushing drummer and I am thrilled to have him as part of the Zombie family. His amazing skills promise to take the live show to a whole new level of insanity."
Jordison added: "I am honored, proud and excited to announce that I have joined the ranks as the new touring drummer for Rob Zombie. I’ve been a fan of Zombie’s since the beginning. I’ve toured with them and have always wanted to play for them. When John 5 called me up to ask if I knew any drummers I could recommend, I said, only half-jokingly, ‘Yeah, me!"
"This show and set-list is mind blowing, and what better way to kick things off than the Gruesome Twosome tour with horror-rock legend Alice Cooper," Jordison said. "I want to thank all the Slipknot fans for their support and the Rob Zombie fans for welcoming me in. The Demonoid Phenomenon is on its way!"

Spiral, you're thinkin of Chris Fehn who is an extra percussionist in the band. Joey is the main drummer in the band and he's f***in' sick. I've seen Joey with Slipknot 4 times and with Korn on Family Values in 07, and now I'm gonna see him with Zombie at Mayhem. Cool news. STAY METAL MY FRIENDS!
Now Playing: "Bleed" by Meshuggah

Joey s the one with bondage mask with the rusty nails driven through the entire skull..
Good acquisition by rob, joey s one of my favorite drummers in long time, i can sit and watch him play drums all day, very quick....matter of fact i think these last 2 slipknot lps have slowed him down, its like having a porsche or a ferrari but only driving it at 55mph ala hagar.....
*the mask take was schtick btw*

but XD, they DO suck! :)
i don't like em much, but i hear jo-jo's a pretty good tub thumper ;)
only rob material I ever really dug was la sexorcisto....LONG a$$ time ago!
but I do agree that having this dude bashing skins for him is gonna amp up the live performance a few notches for sure!
i'm sure this will be a very entertaining show for anyone that sees it

joey should leave sh**knot altogether, he's the only talented one in that band. sh**knot is a bunch of washed up sellouts with a lot dead weight in those extra percussionists and the sample guy, most of those dudes got famous for doing absolutely nothing musically besides hitting empty kegs and garbage cans and hitting a few buttons. he would be better off without them, joey is a metal drummer. mick thompson has his own signature acoustic guitar for crying out loud...

#22, let me just ask you this with regards to Slipknot "selling out." In High School, did you repeat the same classes over and over again or did you try new classes to expand your horizons? Same concept applies to Slipknot. They've expanded. If you don't like it, or thought the softer material should be left for Stone Sour...that's fine. But don't go saying they're all talentless washups who sold out just because they're playing a new sound that's not exactly akin to their first two releases (with Cory). Oh and what does Mick having an acoustic line have anything to do with selling out or being less metal? So the man likes to play music other than metal from time to time...holy sh** sound the alarms. Give me a break!

Post # 23, well put. Too many people seem to want their bands 1 dimensional and never growing....why would anyone put out the same sh*t over and over again? It's very simple...if you don't like it, don't listen. As far as Zombie goes, saw him a few years back and he put on a helluva good show....and his ol' lady dancing on stage was a nice bonus if'n I say so m'self. Can't wait to hear Joey crank up the intensity a f*cking slay!

i am a huge slipknot fan and follow everything they have done and honestly the softer stuff they have been doing put them higher on the charts not that the charts make a difference to me but still joey and rob live is going to be epic i hope to see them at mayhem although i hope joey stays with slipknot

well im a fan of the old hard slipknot, corey messed up with the latest album. personally i think that corey is just a moneymaker. he was good before, now he tries to make slipknot just like stone sour because stone sour are more successful and recognised. big mistake. he made slipknot the worst thing you can hear about metal today. anyways thats great news joey is one of the gods
