The Agonist Comments On Album Availability
Canada's The Agonist has issued the following statement about the availability of their new album:
"Hey!
"Many people have been writing in saying they can't seem to find our album in stores! That isn't fair to you or us. So, the best way to solve this is feedback! No matter where in the world you are, if you are having trouble tracking down our albums, here's what to do:
"1- Tell the record store you want The Agonist and ask them to stock up. 2- Respond to this blog with the name and location of the store that isn't carrying the albums. 3- Spread the word to your friends - the more people that buy our album in your city, the more chance we have of getting to stop there on tour! We want to meet you!
"Of course you can always buy our album from right HERE on our myspace, but it's a little more personal to buy it, autographed, directly from us when we play a show, right?
"We will do our best to get the album out there and come play your town, but we do need your help, so let's make it happen!
"Thanks!"

^every song has the same structure? I have no idea what you're smoking, but you definitely shouldnt operate any heavy machinery for a while.
My complaint with the FIRST album, was that every song ended up sounding the same. same structure, same vocal switch-off pattern, no discernable riffage or memorable moments through half the cd...and then they fixed all that on this cd.
The very fact that they're held as the first prog metalcore band I've ever heard of, points out that there song structure is unusual. it's practically the definition of prog to have unusual time signatures and weird song arrangements. They use that heavily on this album. They have the first interesting breakdowns I've heard since early lamb of god. Considering, as a rule, I hate breakdowns, that's saying something. Not to mention how expansive her vocals have become. Death to black to deathcore to metalcore to operatic clean singing, and she uses either a few of these, or all at once, to make a more sporadically entertaining vocal experience in every song.
I dont think you actually listened to the album.
