Yes, I was a bit disappointed with Sacrament...considered how pumped up I was about hearing it. LOG made such great albums with Ashes of the Wake down to New American Gospel. Good to see another fellow Texan on here....What's good - Bodom?
I recently heard a bad a$$ band from San Antonio - called Before the Blood Shed...
Very talented young metalcore-ish group.

Take that back right now!!

Back on track, this song doesn't really click with me. Definitely doesn't sound like the same band that got me into them 4 years ago.

I agree with you bbristowe. They set the bar too high for themselves with As The Palaces Burn and Ashes Of The Wake. If that was what you were referring to. The chorus is weak. Not what I'd hope for.

Well I agree with some things, and I have to agree with 51-50...the bar was set too high..because NAG, ASTPB, and Ashes are great albums. I still think that Lamb of God play some good groove metal, my opinion, of course. Albeit, they will always be accused of idolizing Pantera way too much. I am just a fan of southern metal musik, period. I going to go check out the latest Acid Bath album. Crowbar, anyone?

eh...whats with the blasts in the beginning. i'm sick of countless bands with the damn blastbeat gimmick.

LOGs musics always as tight, the recording sounds like ashes of the wake actually, did anyone else think "Now you've got something to die for" when the verse kicked in.

Im not that big a LoG fan these days but this song's ok.

HEY IF YOU KEEP THE WINDOW OPEN YOU CAN LISTEN TO ALL TIME LOW THEY'RE SO BAD LOL

Chorus was probably the first thing I've heard from LoG that's actually got my attention. Why doesn't he sing in that voice all the time??

The rest - meh. Trying to be Pantera meets riffs from any run of the mill thrash band from the late 80s.

Couldnt agree more. Dont get me wrong, I dig it, but not like I dig (or dug) pre-Sacrament Lamb of God.

This didn't really take me back a whole lot. I thought the blast beats were horribly misplaced but I agree with Cynic on the chorus vocals. A good change of things.

Cynic has a point on the vocals. I think Randy showed from the last album that changing up the vocals is not a bad thing. I am a big fan of this band, but as some have mentioned and I agree with, the actual instrumentals are becoming less and less interesting which won't give LoG a lasting appeal for me.

Hey Bodom - yeah check out Before the Bloodshed on the infamous myspace. They have like 3 songs on there...not a bad group..Just straight up brutal hardcore metal...lots of breakdowns..so they are more than likely metalcore.

In all honesty, after listening to contractor, and this song a few times....meh.

Initial listen leaves me excited, because it appeals to the "this sounds badass" part of my brain, and because it BLATANTLY sounds like Pantera, and Pantera is awesome.

Problem is, after a couple listens, it gets boring, the song structure makes me furrow my eyebrows, and the pantera similarity just makes me want to listen to Pantera instead anyway.

I like the new vocals, both the main new ones(although, anything's better than Motherf***ing invitation talk growl) and the ones that sound BLATANTLY like Phil Anselmo's vocals. I still like the guitarists, the riffs sound awesome.

Chris's drumming makes me hate him. Not because I think hes a genius and I am thusly jealous, but because it sounds retartedly simplistic compared to what I know he's capable of. Damn that man. Damn him.

Regardless, I will download this album for freee when it comes out, and then I'll make my judgement, and save the rest of my b****ing till then. :P
