Metallica Finally Confirms Guitar Hero Metallica Game

Band Photo: Metallica (?)
Metallica has finally confirmed the heavily rumored all-Metallica Guitar Hero game. Here's the announcement from the band:
"Yes, we know, it's the worst kept secret in rock-n-roll but we're here now to finally confirm that there will indeed be an all-Metallica Guitar Hero game released in the first half (!?) of 2009. Guitar Hero Metallica allows you to play as us in either single instrument or band career game modes in your choice of some famous settings (Tushino Airfield anyone?) or new venues with in the round staging. Included are 28 Metallica songs along with a few from some of our buddies like as Alice in Chains, the Foo Fighters, Slayer, Machine Head and Queen. There is also an all new Expert+ difficulty setting featuring two bass drum kick pedals (!!!) along with all the gameplay modes from Guitar Hero World Tour.
"Over the next few months, we're going to be updating you with track listings, more features, of course how and when you can get the game, and some cool previews of the game right here on the site. As you've heard us say before, keep checking back for more details!"

bind wegon. nope. can't say it. maybe somebody else can help you out.
no but seriously, this was bound to happen. I mean it's metallica. the only two things that market themselves better than they do are SLipknot and Star Wars.
However....
featuring two bass drum kick pedals
I, as a player of rock band/guitar hero whatever-the-f***, have been waiting for that since the game's inclusion of drums. First they added cymbals, now we get double bass...one step closer to Guitar hero:Meshuggah.

Good post as usual Jenny! While something wells inside me to say something about the ridiculous nature of guitar hero games, I spent most of my teens learning to play Metallica discography on guitar. If people can feel that same feeling with a game, I'm happy for them.

lol this is funny, at least now they're putting in the double-kick FINALLY!!! but all metallica....? *barf*
they're good and all, but an ENTIRE guitar hero/rock band is just too much... Aerosmith failed hard, so will this. PERIOD.
Now listening to: Murder Worship - Cannibal Corpse

I'll admit it does take some talent to play Guitar Hero on expert at 100%, but it takes the same degree of talent that's needed to beat Gears of War on "Insane" mode. Guys who are really good at Guitar Hero are really good at games and not musical instruments. I think most of them are aware of this, if not they're being foolish. At the end of the day, Guitar Hero isn't going to put food on the table, but a successful band will; provided the pirates don't get to you.

Also, I always hear people complain that if you play Guitar Hero you're wasting time that should have been spent learning an actual guitar. That's not really a valid argument, because you have over a million people on Xbox Live playing "Call of Duty" but no one's giving them sh*t about putting the controller down and learning to shoot a real gun. I for one wouldn't want those Funyun eating b*stards to know how to use real weapons. Just a thought.
