Machine Head Cancels Remaining Shows

Machine Head has canceled the last two shows of their tour with Slipknot because of guitar player Phil Demmel's health condition. Reports have come in that Demmel collapsed during the band's performance in England yesterday. Bass player Adam Duce issued the following statement:
"After considering the seriousness of Phil's health condition, we all feel that skipping these last two shows is the best thing to do. It's a bummer to end this tour like this after doing 9 amazing weeks and 3 continents with Slipknot, but getting Phil back to the States to get checked out is the most important thing right now. Our sincerest thanks to Slipknot and Children of Bodom for their support and understanding, we understand that it's a big disappointment to the fans, and Phil is very sorry about it, but we all feel that his health and safety is most important at this time."

Man, get well soon, Phil. "Through the Ashes of Empires" and "The Blackening" are what put this band back on the map. Machine Head is a great band, but I can't say it's coincidence that Phil Demmel joins and they release 2 stellar albums. May you shred for many years to come.

This is starting to become a pattern. Phil, get your a$$ back to the States to get properly checked out. Get on the right meds, and take some time off between shows. You don't need to play every single day man. Do the Ozzy thing, a show every other day, and don't party quite so hard.

I'm so "sorry" to hear that such a "energized & dedicated" musician PHIL DEMMEL have these fainting spells/due to an unbalance blood flow through the body: I pray & hope that he gets the rightful "caring" Doctor & needs to help improve his health condition. His an amazing bad a$$ guitarist...'I only own one album by MACHINE HEAD it's titled "The Blackening" & it's a magnificent trailblazing masterpiece. Be, safe and get your proper rest, Phil...'and don't push yourself overboard to much a big heart embrace to you! Thank God your brothers were there to catch you...'that made me smile.

Poor, but other than that, still blessed. I'm hoping the job thing works out for me. I'm gearing up to try to get another assignment to Korea as soon as I can, but I have to wait until Feb to put in for it. Let's hope everything works out. We've got to get the hell outta here. Even the spousal unit is fed up.
