More dates have been released for this year’s “Summer Slaughter Tour,” which will feature THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, KATAKLYSM, VADER, CRYPTOPSY, THE FACELESS, DESPISED ICON, ABORTED, BORN OF OSIRIS, PSYCROPTIC, and WHITECHAPEL:

Oh my F***ING god... I will be at the denver date. the lineup is all blown though. BDM shouldnt healine, or even be on the tour for that reason. it SHOULD be:
Vader, Kataklysm, Aborted, Despised Icon, Cryptopsy, The Faceless, Whitechapel, Psycroptic, Born of Osiris, and The Black Dahlia Murder.

nobody should think that im saying BDM are bad, i dont like them but theyre not bad, but THEY ARE NOT DEATH METAL!!!!!!! all the other bans are real, heavy, death metal. i just saw whitechapel with darkest hour, and the very next day i got on itunes and got thier album. they are badass, really heavy, death metal. not deathcore or any of the other crap, but straight up death metal...

^^ Well i haven't heard the leaks from the new stuff by crytopsy but i'm sure it has everything to do with the new vocalist sucking and the band attempting to change their style to fit the new vocalist. I saw this coming once i listened to the singers old band 3 mile scream. Needless to say, i wasn't impressed at all. Also, try listening to the faceless if you haven't heard off them. They're actually pretty good as well.

I have heard the new Cryptopsy and its HORRRRIBLE!!! Its Gut wrenchingly bad. And to whoever said BDM is NOT Death Metal, you need to clean your ears and listen better, I can't see how they aren't death metal. Please explain. Anyways, this is one heck of a line up though, I definitely will make an effort to go to one of the shows. And I agree with curor, most of these bands are all generic death metal, you see one you see them all, except for Vader. The Faceless is prolly the band I want to see most, I love their music, one of the most brutal sounds in metal today.

They are a melodic death metal band who have some influences in core (probably 10%). Because of this plus the fact that they are from Detroit instead of Stockholm, Gothenburg, or some other Swedish city they get labeled metalcore or deathcore.
