I do not think that all Satanic imagery used in rock or metal music is inspired by real faith. Even the Beatles included a photo of Alistair Crowley ("The Beast") among the motley crowd on the cover of their Sergeant Pepper LP (1967). It has more to do with PR than any real, deeply felt and motivated adherence.

Dave may be, but the 1st Church of Satan and all it's works is merely humanism. Basically it teaches humans are all there is, and whatever works for you is what you should do. It really has nothing to do with Christianity or the blaspheming thereof(ooooh, I used thereof in a forum. Big words!).
