I do not think that all Satanic imagery used in rock or metal music is inspired by real faith. Even the Beatles included a photo of Alistair Crowley ("The Beast") among the motley crowd on the cover of their Sergeant Pepper LP (1967). It has more to do with PR than any real, deeply felt and motivated adherence.

I applaud anyone who can rattle the cage of the sheltered masses with something as simple and obvious satanism...

Those song titles are pretty funny too :D

Dave may be, but the 1st Church of Satan and all it's works is merely humanism. Basically it teaches humans are all there is, and whatever works for you is what you should do. It really has nothing to do with Christianity or the blaspheming thereof(ooooh, I used thereof in a forum. Big words!).

Ostracised: I think if you read Dave's lyrics you would find that the type of satanist you described is the kind of man Dave is. I think they have their lyrics posted on their website: http://www.downlord.dk

He is a Satanist, and he takes it from LaVey's philosophy. Be the best that you can be, be an individual, etc. I know, as I have known Dave Ingram a very long time. Slop's comments are very true, read the lyrics at his band's site.

by the way, I dont think the 1st Church Of Satan has anything to do with humanism really. If you have read LaVey's books about how & why he began the Church Of Satan then you would know. Im my honest opinion, thats all.
