Mustaine Makes Up His Mind On Megadeth's Future

MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine has posted the following message in the "Forums" section of the band's official web site:
"I have made up my mind [regarding whether I will continue with MEGADETH or pursue a solo career] and will tell you all on the night of the Buenos Aires concert [on October 9]. It will be up to the fans in Argentina to break the news to you after their last song."
Mustaine recently parted ways with Sanctuary Records, the label that released three albums from MEGADETH, including 2004's critically acclaimed "The System Has Failed", which debuted at No. 18 on The Billboard 200 chart. The latest MEGADETH release, "Greatest Hits: Back to the Start" (Capitol), entered the Billboard chart at No. 65 and has sold 92,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

I think this will be it for them.
It's just my guess, I'm going by his wording....However, this last tour has really turned some heads and Mustaine has reached elder statesman status, despite his childish antics regarding whom he will and will not tour with and the whole lawsuit against the former bassist.....
I suppose we'll all hear about it soon.

Dave you're a muppet, Megadeth is you, so why pursue a solo career? Either way, he's proven himself to be a d*** time and time again. Screw this worthless band - there are those who wield the thrash axe far better than this clown.

I can assure everyone that if Megadeth ended, Mustaine would still play live shows with many, many ,many Megadeth songs in them. He would however, over the years, add more solo songs to the set and slowly remove Megadeth songs one by one....
Given his odd run of success with the Megadeth name lately I would find it odd to end it, but by the way he's talking it sounds like this is the end of Megadeth....maybe he wants to go out on a relatively high note.
